Hi, I’m Sophy. I am the creator and artist behind Custom, by Sophy. I am a freelance artist and illustrator from Sweden.

I started my art career as a tattoo artist in my late teens, and later moved on to scientific illustration and information design, which I have studied at Mälardalen University, Sweden. Furthermore, I have a Master’s degree in English literature. All of these elements can frequently be found in the work I do, in themes as well as style.

I am a traditional artist, through and through. I like working with my hands and to feel the art grow from under my fingertips. I mainly work with inks in various forms, but also with gouache and watercolours. My work is a mix and match of several of my interests. I draw inspiration from literature, myth/folklore and queer feminism as well as scientific illustrations, the nature surrounding me and from the old masters of the past. I’m not afraid to explore the darker side of things, and am constantly searching for beauty in every aspect of life.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Your satisfaction is my priority. In the event that an item fails to arrive or is damaged upon arrival, a replacement one will be sent if one is available. If no replacement is available, a refund of the product price excluding the shipping will be given.

Exchanges are not available. If you have any questions or wish to know any particularities about any item, please contact me.
Payment
Custom, by Sophy accepts payment via PayPal and Etsy Direct Checkout. Payment must be received within 48 hours or the purchase will be cancelled. No work will be commenced and no item will be sent until full payment is received.
Shipping
All items will be shipped in a sturdy envelope via PostNord on a standard service.

All items are sent out with trackable shipping. When the item is shipped out, you'll receive a tracking number and information on how to track your item along with your shipment notification. Please note that I cannot offer trackable shipping to Australia.

If you wish to receive your item(s) more urgently, please contact me before making a purchase and we'll make an arrangement that works for you.

Please note that for international orders, the buyer is responsible for any import, customs or duties taxes on items purchased.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
