5 out of 5 starsThis was, unfortunately, a complicated purchase. But I am giving the seller five stars for all of her efforts. She made good and then some, on my purchase, so I have to recommend her to others. I would buy from her again. Excellent customer service.

3 out of 5 starsI was expecting a wider sash that tapered to narrow ties. Pic is sort of deceiving.

I often drape new pattern ideas on a half scale dress form. It saves fabric and time.

Always sewing, sewing, sewing.
I began sewing as a child and was immediately drawn to the magic of taking an ordinary flat piece of fabric and turning it into something useful and beautiful. My aunts and grandmother taught me the technical skills I needed to get started and I’ve been sewing ever since. Today I work as a professional seamstress and designer. Being able to make my living by sewing is a dream come true that is only possible with the loving support of my family. My designs are inspired by my attraction to scraps of fabric or a vintage piece of clothing and assembling these little bits into something new. I particularly love to make hats and accessories because their small size can really showcase the details that make them special. I love to include hand worked elements into a piece, I think that seeing the evidence of the craftsperson behind an object is part of what give that object depth and sincerity. Accessories are, for me, a key element in expressing your inner personality and style.
I graduated with a BS in Design in Fashion Design at the University of Cincinnati School of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning and I have worked as a professional seamstress, designer and pattern maker for over 20 years. I also design a line of contemporary women's sewing patterns called Daughters of Style available on Etsy and the web.
