Fun with Threads!

In 2013 I opened an Etsy shop on a whim. I was making hair bows for my own girls and decided to give the online marketplace a whirl. It was fun, I learned A LOT, and I enjoyed being able to surround myself with the vibrant colors of pretty flowers. In 2015 I purchased my first embroidery machine and began to dabble with embroidery. As I continued to dabble and create I realized I needed a bigger machine so in 2019 I took the plunge and purchased a machine that would help me to create the things I was really wanting to make.

I'm here to share these fun things with you and to create your special one of a kind gifts. My robust embroidery program has allowed me to put beloved family recipes on towels and the signature of a loved one on pillow covers. The stories and the memories are special and I'm thrilled to honor those things through my work.
In addition to my embroidered items, I still offer a selection of headbands and hair bows for girls of all ages - from newborn photos to weddings, I've got you covered.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
My goal is that you will be completely satisfied with your purchase. I try my best to give detailed descriptions of an item, but if something arrives that is clearly not right please give me an opportunity to make things right whether that be a replacement or refund of your purchase. I do request that items be returned to me before I will issue a cash refund. Refunds will be for the item amount minus shipping charges and re-stocking fee.

Should your item arrived damaged please send me a photo of the damage!

Please contact me within 48 hrs of delivery so that I may help you resolve your issue quickly.

I understand that sometimes an order needs to be cancelled and I am happy to honor requests made within 12 hours of ordering. I work very hard to process orders in a timely manner and to mail them in a timely manner. Should you request a cancellation after your order has shipped I am unable to issue any refunds until your package has been returned safely to me.
Payment is expected in full before item will be shipped. Custom orders will not be started until payment is received. I accept all major credit cards, paypal, and etsy gift cards.
**Please be aware that if you pay via an e-check through paypal the processing time is 3-5 days and items will not be shipped until funds clear**

All payment information is processed through Etsy and at no time do I have direct access to any of your credit card information. I take customer privacy very seriously and at no time will I share any of your contact information.

In the event that an item would arrived damaged, a replacement item that is the same or similar may be offered. I take great pride in my work, but if something arrives that is clearly damaged and "not right" please give me the opportunity to make things right.
My shipping charges are the same whether you order one item or HAPPY SHOPPING. :)

Once payment has been verified items will be shipped within 1- 3 business days through USPS First Class Mail and you will receive e-mail confirmation that your item(s) is/are on its way! Should you desire your item sooner I do offer shipping via PRIORITY MAIL and I also am willing to over-night a package should you desire this service.

PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE SHIPPING ADDRESS IS CORRECT. Once an order has been placed I am unable to make changes to the shipping address. I am not responsible for missing packages due to errors in the postal address.

If you need international shipping please make sure you understand your country's specific policies regarding taxes and custom fees as you are responsible for those. For my UK customers, please refer to the link below if you have any questions regarding fees.

If you have any questions regarding your country's specific policies please contact your local post office.

I desire to run and honest and upfront business so please be aware that I will not mark packages as gifts to avoid custom fees. Not only is this practice dishonest but it could result in legal penalties.

Lost Packages:
Should your package become lost in transit please contact me so that I may try to help you in locating your package. I also ask that you contact your local post office for assistance. I will do whatever I can from my end to help you with this process. Packages mailed via Priority Mail are automatically insured up to $50 USD and after an appropriate amount of time has passed a claim form may be submitted.
For lost packages or packages that show delivered but are not in your mailbox:
In the years I have sold on Etsy, I have had numerous occasions where a package has shown delivered but the customer has not received their item. If this happens to you, please check with other members living in your household as well as neighbors. Often, customers find that someone else has taken the package in for them or the item has been delivered to a neighbor by mistake. During busy holiday seasons, the chances of a package becoming misplaced does, unfortunately, increase. If after checking these things you are still unable to locate your mail, please contact your local post office so that they may check in with your postal worker. Once a package has shown delivered my ability to help you greatly decreases (but don't be afraid to contact me).

Each item that you purchase has been assembled by me. If there is something you would like but do not see or would like an item in different colors please contact me! Please allow for an additional 1-2 days for custom orders.

**Some of my headbands contain small pieces. Please use caution when using headbands on babies and small children and never leave your child unattended when a headband is on.**
At Amy's Threadworks, we take your personal data very seriously. In order to comply with
the EU GDPR Law, we issue the following statement which we agree to uphold when you
place an order with us.
In order to fulfil your order we rely on Etsy to provide us with the
necessary data needed in order to process your order in a timely manner. The data we
collected is your name, address, and e-mail address. At no point to I have access to your payment information as all payments are processed through Etsy. We may also contact you for additional information such as needing clarification on a special request or address correction.

You may revoke your consent at any time and have the right in detail to request details of the
information we keep.

We only keep information for the sole purpose of fulfilling your orders and for our own
records and what is deemed fair use in our business within the parameters of the law.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know the headband is going to fit?

Many of my headbands come with the option to choose your desired size, but for my headbands that do not list options they are designed to fit babies 6 months and older, toddlers, little girls, and even adults! I use soft and stretchy elastic which allows headbands to truly "grow" with your child.

There is no sizing option, but I would like this headband in a smaller size. Can you make that adjustment?

Yes! I am happy to make a headband smaller for you. Leave me a note at check-out!

I saw an elastic on one headband that I really liked and a flower on another headband. Can I get my headband made with my desired flower and elastic?

I carry a wonderful assortment of supplies and I can often accomodate Special requests. Please message me prior to ordering for pricing and availability. If I can do it I am more than happy to work with you!

It's Monday and I need the item by Friday, can I get it that fast?

I work hard to process orders as quickly as I can. If you are in a rush, shipping can be upgraded to priority shipping. Please keep in mind that during Christmas items can be delayed and also remember that there are little holidays throughout the year that mean no mail for you or me. :)

How quickly do you respond to messages?

Often, I respond to convos within a few minutes, but depending on the time of day (or night) it may be a few hours. I am on EST so typically convos I get after 10 or 11 pm will not be addressed until the following morning.

Do you sell just supplies?

I'm sorry, but I do not sell loose supplies.

Wholesale availability

At this time I am not offering wholesale.

I see a headband that I like, but I need 2 and only one is available, can I get more?

In most instances I have ample supplies to make multiple items that are the same. If you need an amount larger than what is showing available please contact me!

I run a non-profit and am looking for donations for an upcoming auction, do you donate items?

I often receive requests for donations to many wonderful charitable causes and I consider donations on a case by case basis. I tend to be fairly selective so if you are looking for donations please be sure you have all relevant information sent to me before requesting donations. Thank you.
