Announcement   hello there! Welcome to ArtisticWineBottles on Etsy! My name is Danielle and I currently live in Austin, Texas. I create colorfully decoupaged wine bottle lamps and wine bottles featuring eco-friendly Lokta paper from Nepal. Nepalese villagers use the inner bark of the Lokta bush to create the beautiful fibrous paper, making it a renewable resource because the bark then regenerates itself. The handmade Lokta papers are then each dyed and decorated with designs using basic techniques. My wine bottles showcase the beauty of the Nepalese colors and patterns! Each sheet of Lokta is unique be it the color, texture, or the thickness of the paper. For this reason, each bottle I create is one of a kind! :)

Please feel free to explore my shop and contact me if you have any questions.

I accept custom and bulk orders! Message me for more details.

Danielle crafted a beautiful, themed bottle for me, submitting photos of various papers for my selection and later, photos of the bottle from every angle for my approval. I approved!!! She was accommodating, efficient and pleasant throughout the process, and the bottle will be a gift for a dear friend - assuming I can part with it! :-)

I love my lamp! I am very impressed with it. The seller was very friendly, nice and answered all of my questions. She made a lamp just for me and even sent a picture of it before she shipped it out to make sure I liked it. When I got it I was in Awe! It was even better in person. It looks so lovely and I have had a few friends and family members ask me where I got it. I really like that the light has two settings one is solid and a flash pattern. Nice touch! I would recommend this to everyone. Well worth it!

About

Showcasing the beauty of Lokta paper.

Things changed dramatically for me one day during a routine trip to the art store, when a section of brightly colored 'Lokta' paper from Nepal caught my attention. It was the most beautiful, exquisite paper I had ever seen! My creative mind began to race as I starting developing ideas of how I could showcase the beauty of this paper. Through the process of decoupage, I found I was able to create beautifully colored items using wine bottles as my canvases. The art of decoupage allows me to produce unique color and pattern combinations.
Lokta paper comes to us from the highlands of Nepal where it is handmade by women cooperatives. It is a renewable resource, coming from the bark of trees. Various pieces of Lokta may be printed with a similar design- however- each piece is different be it the texture of that particular batch of paper, the thickness, or the seeds that sometimes embed themselves in the paper.
I hope that my customers will enjoy my Lokta creations as much as i enjoy crafting them. All my products are varnished and shine beautifully in the light!
