How I got started selling sports themed wedding invitations...

Before I created Sports Bride, I was working with a general contractor and planning on getting my architecture license...

Then my sports loving fiancé and I started looking at wedding venues. This one was too big and that one was too small, this one is where I had my senior prom and that one doesn’t allow alcohol. Venue after venue got disqualified for one reason or another. Then one day my sarcastic fella decided to look into renting a score board for our wedding and discovered we could rent the whole dang ballpark. Awesome! We had a venue that fit us perfectly, now we needed equally awesome Baseball Themed Wedding Invitations.

We looked online, we looked in stores, we even visited a professional invitation shop with about 50 different sample books and came up empty handed. Every wedding invitation we looked at wasn’t related to baseball and every baseball invitation was for a child’s birthday party.

But then…
We decided to use the graphics skills we acquired in architecture school and design our own invitation suite. We sent out postcard save the dates, telling our love story’s “career history”. We did the full formal invitation suite, sending out a ticket for each person that was invited and baseball puns on the RSVP. We then had fun making Wedding Game Day Programs, including all of our bridal party's “stats”. To top it all of, everyone got a personalized baseball as their wedding favor. It was amazing!

I realized…
that I probably wasn’t the only person looking for better sports themed invitations, so I decided to ditch the architecture path and offer the most authentic and elegant ticket themed invitations for the most avid sports fans, because we deserve them!

Through it all, I have worked with wonderful couples and families to create the perfect stationary for celebrating at sports venues across the country, or infusing just a little of their team spirit into a more traditional celebration. I look forward to doing the same with you!

Because our products are created just for you soon, please allow 1 - 4 weeks for your item to ship. Please keep in mind that I cannot continue working on your order without your event details and feedback. Please note than any delays in getting me your information will push back your order fulfillment timeline.

- RUSH ORDERS:
Do you need your order ASAP? All custom items offer the ability to move to the front of the line and ready to ship items setup for first class shipping have the opportunity to upgrade to Priority Mail shipping. When checking out, please select your preferred upgrade… Don’t forget to factor in weekends and Holidays. 😊
Please keep in mind that I almost always have open orders, so if you need your order rushed, you will need to purchase these upgrades in order for me to accommodate your request.

Returns and exchange details
Due to the personalized nature of my items I am unable to accept returns or exchanges of orders and is why I ask for your approval of proofs before I proceed with any printing. Also, due to the time and effort that goes into a first set of proofs, once they are sent, all cancellations are subject to a minimum charge of the DIY Template fee. If items were damaged during shipping, please contact me so that I can file an insurance claim and start reprinting your order. If the item appears to be lost in transit, please contact me as soon as you notice this. I will start an insurance claim and begin reprinting your order once the claim is approved. If an item is lost in transit or USPS does not approve the claim, I may wait at least 14 days from shipment date to reprint your order, just to make sure it hasn't been returned to me for an incorrect address. Please be aware of our policies before making a purchase and contact us directly if you have any concerns before making a purchase. We are happy to help answer any questions you may
have!
Payment
Weddings are expensive, I understand. All orders have the option of being broken up into two payments of a design deposit and a balance listing. If you'd like this option, please send me a message letting me know so that I can get these setup for you.
Shipping
📦 Shipping:
The timeline of all orders are dependent on how quickly you get me your event information, as I cannot start on your order until I have that information. Once I have your information, you can expect your first set of proofs within 1-5 business days (depending on complexity and current workload). Then edits and updates are made at your request and typically sent back for your further feedback and approval on the same day. Once digital proofs are approved, you will receive your DIY Templates if that is what you purchased. Otherwise, you then have the option of a physical proof, this typically adds another week or two weeks to the order process, so please plan accordingly. Upon approval of the final digital proof or physical proof, I will proceed with printing your full order and shipping it via USPS Priority Mail unless other arrangements have been made.
2020 Shipping Update - Covid delays are causing problems via all shipping channels, please order sooner rather than later in case your package gets stuck along the way. USPS doesn't appear to be having any issues near me, but if you have known issues in your hubs, please don't hesitate to talk to me about alternative shipping arrangements.

-ORDERS WITHIN THE US:
Orders within the United States are shipped via USPS First Class or Priority Mail and have an estimated delivery time of 1 - 7 business days depending on your location. This does not include the time is takes for us to process your order (1-4 weeks), and does not include weekends or holidays. The shipping times listed are “close” but not guaranteed- as a number of factors can slow down an order once it leaves our hands (such as weather, the holiday season, etc). For this reason, we are not responsible for the time in which a package travels once it has been accepted by USPS. If you would like a guaranteed shipment date, please upgrade your order to Express Shipping at checkout.

-INTERNATIONAL ORDERS (OUTSIDE OF YOUR COUNTRY):
Orders outside of the United States vary vastly, depending on your location. Occasionally packages can be substantially delayed if they are held in customs. Because we cannot control the speed in which processing occurs through your country’s customs officials, please understand that we are not responsible for shipping delays once the order leaves our hands. Though delays are not common, they do happen occasionally. Often tracking will transfer over to your country's system once it gets processed by customs, after this point, it is generally best to follow up with your own country's mail service for future tracking updates. Please also note, some countries require a Duty Fee, Tax, or Customs Charge before an order can be delivered. These charges are somewhat random, relatively infrequent, but are 100% the buyer’s responsibility- as you are the recipient of the mail. This is not an additional shipping charge, nor are we responsible for covering your taxes and duty fees. Please be aware of the individual taxes, duty fees and customs charges for your specific country. Subsequently, requests to mark orders as “Gift” on our customs forms to avoid your possibility of paying a customs fee or tax will be ignored. Marking purchased goods as “Gifts” is extremely illegal. Please be aware of the individual taxes, duty fees and customs charges for your specific country.

-IF AN ORDER DOES NOT ARRIVE BY THE EXPECTED DATE:
If your order has not arrived by the estimated delivery time, please feel free to let us know via private message. A number of factors can influence mail speeds (weather, holidays, etc), so we may ask that you wait an additional 7 days- just in case your order is caught up at a sort facility. If after 7 days your order has not arrived, we will do everything we can to start an insurance / lost package claim and reship your order or contact the postal service to locate your order.

-IF AN ORDER IS MARKED “UNDELIVERABLE”:
If your address was not entered correctly at the time of purchase, your package may be marked as “Undeliverable” and will usually be shipped back to us. Once we receive your return order, we will request an edited address to re-ship your order. In the event of a reshipment due to an incorrect address, you are responsible for the additional shipping charges.

-HOW TO TRACK AN ORDER:

-INTERNATIONAL ORDERS SHIPPING FROM THE US:
USPS tracking numbers for International orders only update within the United States, so once they leave the USA, the tracking can no longer be updated. From this point, your tracking will not update until the order has been delivered. Because of this, when the order leaves the USA, it may appear on your tracking that the order has stopped moving at one of the larger US sort facilities. This does not mean that your package isn’t moving. It simply means that your order has left the USA and is on its way to your country.
Additional policies and FAQs
How long before my event should I order my invites?
* It’s recommended that you send out save the dates 5 to 12 months before your event. Invitations should go out 6-12 weeks before an event. For items that will be given out at your event (place cards, programs, favors, etc.) I recommend ordering 4-6 weeks before the big day. Everything can be rushed or done later, but ordering within these time frames allows for a more relaxed experience.

Can I order part of an invitation suite without ordering the full set? What if I like parts of one invitation and pieces of another?
* You can order any or all of the items that I offer. I custom design everything so I can change any part of the invitation to fit your needs, just let me know by requesting a custom order.

Do you require a deposit?
* Due to the amount of requests I receive, I am unable to send any personalized proofs before you order. In Instances where you don’t know your final count yet or your event is a ways away, I’ll setup a design deposit listing for you (which will be the same as the Digital Template price). Then we’ll get the base design done and I’ll send you a physical set of proofs, if desired. Once you have your final count, I’ll set up a listing to cover the balance. The remaining balance will be due before I add your guest’s names to the place cards or begin printing your full order.

How does the whole process work?
* My standard process is to start with an Etsy convo or an emailed questionnaire wherein we cover all of your event's information and you send me any photos you'd like to use. Then I will email you a digital proof within a few days. I will then revise it based on your feedback, as many times as needed, until you are absolutely satisfied. If you've chosen the DIY template option, I will send you the PDF print template for you to begin printing your invitations. If you've chosen printed invitations, I will send you one as a physical proof (time permitting) so that you can make sure everything looks perfect. Upon approval of the physical proof or final digital proof I will print your full order and mail them to you insured via Priority Mail in the U.S. or First Class International for international orders and you'll be all set!

After I receive the physical proof can I still make changes?
* You can make changes to your design until I’ve received your approval to begin printing your final order. Changes after that will be charged accordingly.

-INFORMATION I COLLECT
To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to
provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information (I do not
personally see your payment information, credit card details, etc- as these are processed securely
through Etsy), and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide
me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly
via Etsy messages or through a private note attached to your order.

-WHY I NEED THIS INFORMATION AND HOW I USE IT:
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
-as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle
disputes, or to provide customer support;
-when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by
signing up for my mailing list;

as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law;

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other

-Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold
about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
-Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your
personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for
legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
-Object. You can object to my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate
interests and receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive
them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate
grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons. To opt out of emails
that you have previously given me personal consent to join, you may also click the "unsubscribe"
button at the bottom of any emails sent to you from my shop. This does not include messages direct

What items do you make?

As a Sports Bride, I specialize in everything sports themed (save the dates, invitations, place cards, programs, table signs, thank you cards, etc.) for any event, wedding, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, bar or bat mitzvahs, corporate/business events, holiday cards, pregnancy/birth announcements and graduation invitations. Any design can be changed to be for a different event/theme. I can also do more traditional stationary. I look forward to helping you make your event’s stationary everything you imagine it to be!

What are your current turn around times?

I currently have a toddler and am always working around her schedule, so at the moment my order completion times are around 2-4 weeks (from the time I receive all of your event’s information and photos to having them in your hands). The answer to all of the above is YES! I have designed everything you see in my shop from scratch, all you have to do is ask and I'll let you know how I can make you what you'd like.
