My website with current studio ready-to-ship stock can be found at www.dahlhausart.com!
dahlhaus ceramics is handmade pottery inspired by my love of spring and gardens, vintage fabric, modern pop art, and color. All hand-made by me: Heather Dahl, in my little Vancouver studio where I wheel-throw, hand-build or slip-cast my original designs, and then hand-paint my own glazes onto my pots using a technique that I developed along with patterns and designs. No decals are used to glaze my work so it's all single glaze fired to cone 6 with foodsafe glazes, all mixed by me in my studio from scratch.
The utmost of love and care goes into making each and every pot that I make and I'm sure you will appreciate that every time you use it!
If you are interested in wholesaling my work, please take the time to email me at heather [!at] dahlhausart.com, and include your shop's website or blog so I can know a little bit about you! Minimum orders are $300 and there is often a 4-8 week lead-time for most orders.
Please read the my shop policies before purchasing. I do my best to ship within 3 business days of receiving your payment, but do convo me if you need an order shipped out pronto! Also note that I can't guarantee shipping deliveries and times, even though I do my best to label packages for swift border crossings. Please note that shipping rates do not include tracking numbers or insurance for loss due to shipping. Let me know if you would like additional shipping costs to include both tracking and insurance.

A story about dahlhaus
dahlhaus started a very long time ago, when I fell in love with clay and a boy around the same time. The boy and I got married and started a home together. Ceramics became a big part of my studies in school and my career path.
Fast forward a few years and 2 children later, I started my Etsy shop as a way to sell my work online. I have had my shop for a while, but it isn't the only source of selling my work. I also sell my work through galleries and shops, at craft fairs and through studio sales.
All my ceramics is handmade from scratch by me in my studio in Vancouver Canada. I usually start designing on the potters' wheel, where I create a form. Sometimes the best forms get made into production moulds to be slip-cast. The glazes are mixed by hand and applied as glaze inlay designs through the use of hand-cut stencils that mask off my designs. This 'paper-cut' method of creating designs informs my work along with my love of colour and pattern.
