Hi, I'm Lyndsey, thank you for visiting Daisy & Bird ☺
When I discovered that there was an alternative to disposable personal care and menstrual products that are far more Earth friendly, reusable, not full of chemicals, not being sent to land fill.... and, of course, fun and beautiful, I was hooked.
So now, when I'm not homeschooling my children (long story, it wasn't by choice initially!!) I sew to give myself a creative outlet and 'me' time. But there's only so many menstrual pads I can use, so I decided to sell them... After all, every woman who chooses reusable menstrual products is helping to reduce our carbon foot print and making a healthier choice for her body.
Everything in my store has been individually and lovingly created by me at our dining table in our lovely national capital of Canberra.

Shipping
All shipments will be sent by Australia Post. All items will be sent via "standard shipping" which is untracked, unless an upgrade is purchased at the time of payment. Should the buyer choose not to purchase an upgrade for tracked post, any liability towards items being lost or damaged during transit shall be at the buyers risk entirely. All taxes and import dues are the responsibility of the buyer. I am not responsible for items lost in transit, please ensure that your delivery address is correct. If you wish to have tracking/registered/express mail, please purchase the shipping upgrade during checkout.

Custom and personalized orders
I am happy to work with you to create something exactly right.... if you like the fabric, but would like a different size or absorbency, or have specific issues that need to be addressed. In most cases, custom orders will be ready for posting within 2-3weeks.
Sizing details
Daisy & Bird's cloth pads can be made in sizes from 6" - 16" (and longer for custom orders). I also make cloth pads suitable for younger girls, with a thinner width across the gusset so they will fit snugly in all underwear.
Care instructions
An information sheet about how to care for you cloth pads will be sent with every order. They are easily cared for and can either be hand washed or machine washed.
What is PUL waterproofing?
PUL is an acronym for Polyurethane Laminate, a waterproofing layer that is bonded to a thin polyester knit fabric. It is both waterproof and breathable, and gives extra protection against leaks. It is hidden inside the pad, covered by the fabric on the back.
Which side is up?
Daisy & Bird's pads have the pretty side up, with the fleece side against your undies. The exception is custom made pads where you have requested a plain top and patterned back.
Do I need light, regular or heavy pads?
Light pads are suitable for days with lighter flow, or for back up for a cup or tampon.
Moderate pads are suitable for most women for the moderate to heavy flow days of your period.
Heavy pads are suitable for most women for the heaviest days of you period, or for overnight.
Post partum level absorbency is also available, for those women who have just had a baby, or who have exceptionally heavy periods.
