About

The only design that is acceptable in the time that we live in is sustainable design.

Sewing and embroidering, threads and sewing needles were present in my life since ever. As I was growing up with my grandmothers, one of them was a professional seamstress and the other one was self-thought knitter and embroiderer I could not resist the magic of the colors and patterns of the textiles they were using. An interest was born, a love connection was made. I've learned to knit when I was 8 years old, but I didn't stick to it long, cause I was all about the details, I wanted to do something different, artistic and minimal. When I was 12 years old, I made my first bag from an old pair of jeans. It was completely sewed by hand, and it was with embroidered hearts and flowers on it. I never stopped since then. Since I was very young, I was tought that I have to go to school and university, so doing something else was out of the question. I chose architecture, and I love it, but I don't think I chose the right timing for implementing my knowledge into the world, since not a lot of the nature surface is left to be manipulated on this planet. Connecting my interest in hand crafting and my wish for better world, I came up with the idea of putting an effort in finding and choosing vintage materials and unusable clothes and making them part of something new, usable, and maybe even decorative to make the contrast of the things ready to vanish or become garbage and pollute the world to something decorative to make the living space unique, warm and more individual. I came up with the idea of making pillows, in fact pillow covers. I found inspiration in the everyday life, in the lyrics of beautiful songs, in love. I make a drawing based on the daily inspiration, or I use previous drawings, I add quotes from my memoirs or song lyrics, and later I implement them on the materials with a pen or pencil. After that I embroider them or I make textile collage.
I continued with making pouches, wall hangings, dolls, stuffed animals and toys too and lately mostly I am doing hand embroidery on sustainable clothing. I collaborate with local sustainable brands and designers and hand embroider ready made clothing by them. They are all ethically produced in a small production companies.
I work on my ideas, but also custom orders are welcomed. I love my clients' minds, they are so creative and lovely!
Every piece that I make is unique, and made once, I don't prefer to make the same thing twice. In fact that is what I mostly love about handmade items, you can never get the same product more than once. You can use the same drawings and patterns, but the final product will always be unique. Enjoy!
