Announcement   My handcrafted designs are colorful expressions of things that make us happy. They are affordable & make great gifts for anyone who appreciates a miniature work of art.

The subdued lighting of the nightlights create a relaxed vibe & warm ambiance when plugged in at night.

Sometimes I work in a deliberate way creating clean, modern pieces and other times I work in a faster, more abstract & free-formed way. I am responsible for all steps necessary from scratch to completion. I strive for the end result to feel good & be elegant. I have been a member of the San Francisco Street Artist Program since 2004.

If you want to support the local community & contribute to "Made in America" buy a handmade work of art & give the gift of LIGHT today!

Because of the delicate scale, all my original jewelry designs are the result of 12 years of experience in handcraftsmanship. High quality .925 sterling silver components are paired with the glass dangles. Sterling is a precious metal & is neutral in color which makes it an ideal complement to the colors of the glass. Sterling does not contain nickel which is great for women who are sensitive to lower quality/plated metals.

The next step for me is the fine art of enameling where glass and cloisonne wire is melted on fine silver. The fruits of this art form are rare because of the challenging process which requires ultra attention to detail & dedicating lots of time to get good at it.

Images of my work can be found my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dana.boyko/photos

Feel free to contact me here via Etsy convo or 415-215-7422. Thanks for visiting... enjoy!

This is my second purchase from this shop. Obviously, I love this artist's work and both items look even more impressive in person. I have purchased both nightlights for gift-giving and I couldn't be more pleased--quality workmanship. You will not be disappointed.

About

Artist's Statement

I believe we all need to be surrounded by positive energy so our life-force may thrive. It is my intention to create beautiful works of art that are also functional- yet simple relevance is fine too. Working with glass is the way I stay centered and balanced in beauty and it makes me happy to know that I might impact others in an uplifting way.

My Work
I understand that refined handcraftsmanship and quality original designs are critical for a successful work of art. For the last 12 years I have pursued an innate passion to create beautiful things & it is what grounds me in times of uncertainty or confusion.

San Francisco supports the arts through our 42 year old Street Artist Program. I have been a member since April 2004. What a truly magical experience it has been working in the shadows of palm trees and hi-rises downtown at Justin Herman Plaza across from the Ferry Building Farmer's Market.

Please come visit when you are in the area... & thank you for visiting my Etsy shop!

Design Integrity
I have a 17 year background in interior design and first began my craft making stained glass windows. I apply instinct and intuition to add color as necessary and focus on texture and clean lines to create positive and negative spaces in my work. It's important for me to express a harmonious flow of energy & I hope you enjoy the end results.

The Process
The items in this collection consist of multiple layers of glass and enamel & compatible metals like fine silver, 14 karat gold, copper and brass. After I establish a design I select the best colors & cut the elements out of glass, assemble the piece, fire it in my kiln at the proper schedule & wa-la!

Thanks for visiting me here on Etsy- one of the most brilliant business ops available to artists. This is the most convenient way to get my craft "out there" as well as the arts & crafts market across from the Ferry Bldg. in downtown San Francisco
