Love of the Old
My very first purchase after getting a job and a checking account was a Ball jar full of vintage buttons. Since then, I've been hooked.
I was fortunate several years ago to help my grandmother consolidate her large estate full of antiques. This really helped me learn the ins-and-outs of selling online as well as gain continued knowledge of antiques. Prior to that, I was an antique dealer selling in a booth as well as dipping my toes in eBay's pool.
After my grandmother's estate, I took some time off. But as anyone who loves antiques as much as I do knows, time off only fueled the fire to get back in the game.
I started selling in earnest on Etsy in 2011. Not only do I hunt out the best farm auctions in the rural midwest, but I also dabble with my sewing machine and crank out pillows and textiles using the vintage material I find at the country auctions.
It's really the best of both worlds. But selling online wouldn't be fun if it wasn't for the delightful customers I meet along the way. In the end, it's matching up a vintage piece of history to its new owner that gets a rise out of me every single time. :) It's a dream "job", if you can call it a job. I love this so much I call it my hobby with fringe benefits. :wink:wink.

Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
I respectfully request payment within 5 days of purchase via PayPal. Money Order or Personal Checks must be received within 2 weeks. If paying by check, please allow sufficient time for the payment to clear my bank before shipping.
I generally ship within 2 days of payment received. If there is going to be a delay, I will certainly let you know. Summer is such a great time to be out and about, so shipping times during the summer season may be delayed, but most of the time I'm within that 2 day deadline.
I will use delivery confirmation on every package. Insurance is added if the item is breakable, or if you'd like to add that option.
I normally use First Class Mail in padded envelopes for fabric products and anything else that will safely ship via that method. Otherwise, I will ship via Priority Mail.
I do ship internationally, but I will need to change the shipping costs and add a small handling fee. If you are a buyer outside the United States, please e-mail me before making a purchase and I will change the perimeters of sale. Thank you for understanding.
