About

How my dream came true.

Thirty years ago I bought my first sheep, Amelia. She produced very nice wool but I didn't know how to use it. Luckily I live in an area with many female shepherds that were eager to teach me how to dye it, spin it, knit it and weave it. I didn't know this was to become my passion and a way to make money. I now have a small cottage studio on my farm where I am stocked with my very own line of hand dyed yarns and fiber. I also make fused glass buttons, re-imagined vintage jewelry, nuno felt scarves and whatever other craft strikes my fancy. I am a part of Countryside Artisans Studio Tour, hosting free open houses 3 times a year, April, October and December. I take my shop to sheep and wool festivals in Maryland, Virginia and New York in the spring and fall.

Welcome to Dancing Leaf Farm on etsy. I own a small farm where sheep graze the fields and chickens range free. I hand dye fiber, wool yarn, locks and fleece, mohair yarn and roving, silk scarves, and most any natural fiber I can get my hands on. I felt all of the above, making wall hangings, scupture, paintings and jewelry. I also create fused glass jewelry and beaded jewelry. Color, color and more color enliven my life. Every day is a craft day!
