This box is truly a work of art. Each time I look at it I am struck by how beautiful it is.

On another box, Julie used raised copper paint that made it look like carved wood. I wanted this effect on a very specific type of box to create a sort of mini Narnia wardrobe. She sent me many photos of jewellery boxes, but none of them were perfect for my use. In the end she dramatically modified the closest one to work for me: - Swapped the door panels from a mesh thing to wood and glass. - Built a new drawer where there was this cumbersome angled pull-out for rings. - Added completely new feet to make it more wardrobe-like. - Reupholstered the inside with new velvet. She then painted these beautiful trees that wrap around the box. It's a shame I can only share one photo, because it's delightfully rich in detail and texture. Altogether a very patient and helpful artist I would highly recommend for a custom project.
