    My name is Maike and I live in Denmark. I´ve always loved beautiful objects and design so I studied Architecture and Art History. And then I´ve got a collector living within me. From collecting stamps because of their beautiful and interesting motifs I went over to ceramics and mid century design. In 2012 I decided to turn my hobby into my profession and established "danish mood" as a registred company. I run "danish mood" as a one-woman business doing all and everything myself - from hunting the great stuff, shooting images, describing them well, researching information, wrapping them safely, shipping them to my wonderful customers and talking with you. I have a love for all beautifully and well designed objects - made by hand or nature. And I have a soft spot for Scandinavian midcentury ceramics from the 50s to 70s.

Hello & welcome to danishmood!

At "danishmood" we love quality and good design and always strive to offer you an exquisite and large selection of high quality Scandinavian Midcentury design sourced directly from my home country Denmark and the neighbouring Scandinavian countries. My focus is on ceramics, tableware, lighting and smaller furniture.

"danishmood" is a registred company, established in 2012 as a small one-woman business. I run it with all my passion for the objects I sell and for good customer service. I want you to have fun and feeling safe when purchasing from me. So I always describe the items I sell carefully in words and images, give you extra info if you need and wrap everything super well for a safe journey to you. And I gladly accept returns (except for custom orders) as images cannot completely substitute having the item in your own hands.

When purchasing from "danishmood" you on your side support the existence of a small business, and with the taxes and VAT I pay from my sales to the Danish State you also support the Danish Welfare System which I'm very proud of we have as it helps giving equal chances to every Dane. This is for me a meaningful output of my professional efforts.

RESERVATIONS
On most items we can make reservations up to 24 hours. Just ask in advance. If you need a longer reservation - up to 2 weeks - we will ask you for a 50% payment up front and you cannot cancel your purchase.

CANCELLATIONS
You can cancel your order within 1 hour after purchase or until it´s wrapped and shipped. We normally ship very fast.

AVAILABILITY
All items ordered from us are subject to availability. As we sell on different platforms and in our friends brick & mortar shop there is a minor risk that an item gets sold twice within a short time frame. We check our mailbox very often but as we cannot check 24 hours a day we unfortunately cannot guarantee you availability. We will always sell the item to the person that has ordered first. If the item you have ordered already has been sold we will inform you asap (within 24 hours) and send you a full refund.

IMPORT TAXES & DUTIES
Please notice that all taxes and duties to be paid in your country for receiving / importing your item/s are to be paid by you. They are not included in the total price you pay here on etsy. We mark your shipment as goods and put the value of its content on the customs label. We will not mark your shipment as gift.

All our items are sold under the European VAT margin scheme and VAT cannot be deducted.

PROCESSING TIME
Most orders are shipped within 1-5 business days. You can see the processing time for each item on the product page. During vacation periods the processing time might be longer, but we always try to have our processing times up-to-date.

SHIPPING TIME
Please notice that shipping outside EU (European Union) requires customs time in receiver country. This can vary from country to country and during time of year. It may take up to 5 weeks. We cannot be held responsible for any delay due to customs.

To rest of Europe: 4-6 business days + customs time, but Russia up to 15 business days + customs time
To USA / Canada: 4-7 business days + customs time with PostNord / DHL and 1-4 business days with UPS
To Asia & Australia: 5-8 business days + customs time

URGENT SHIPPING
If you need urgent or faster shipping just send us a message and we will do our best to get your order shipped as fast as possible. If you need your order very urgent we also offer shipping with courier. Delivery will be within 1-4 business days worldwide. Just send us a note and we will inform you about the extra costs.

COMBINED SHIPPING
We are happy to offer combined shipping if possible as it often reduces the shipping costs per item.

TRACK & TRACE AND INSURANCE
All shipments from us have track & trace and full insurance included.

We always wrap all your items extremely well with lots of packaging material and in a strong box so the risk for damage as close to zero as possible.

SHIPPING ADDRESS
We always use the shipping address given to us here on etsy and never the one given through PayPal. So please check that you have updated your address.

DAMAGED ITEMS
If bad luck should happen and you receive an item damaged please take contact with us immediately and within maximum 2 days. This is important! Please also send us photos of the damages and of the box from outside. We need this to make a reclaim. We will either send you a substitute for the damaged item/s or send you a refund according to the damages.

● Please note that the colors and brightness in the images can differ from the real item since they can vary on different monitors and also depend on the light on item while photographing it. We do our best to get the colors as close as we can to the real item.

We do all our best to make you feel safe and happy when purchasing from us. If you have any questions or concerns, let us know.

We are a registred company with VAT registration in Denmark. In our shop you get ALL your customer rights. But on top of this we also go far and beyond and offer you extra services, such as the option for everybody worldwide to return your item to us. Please check our policies for details.

Also ALL our shipments have track & trace and full insurance included. You will never loose any money if bad luck should happen and your items arrive damaged or got lost. But feel safe, we do all our best to prevent any damage.

IS MY SHIPMENT FULLY INSURED? YES!

RESERVATIONS?

We accept reservations up to 24 hours on most of our items if you can confirm that you will purchase the item/s. As we cannot give you any guarantee that the reservation will be respected by other Etsy customers and to avoid any problems it´s best to purchase asap. Unfortunately Etsy does not have any On Hold button.

If you need a longer reservation please send us a message about this and we will decide from case to case if a longer reservation is possible.
