    Each Bag Has a Story........

    Here’s mine:

    I spend a great deal of time each day on the subways and buses in New York City searching and shopping for unique colors and textures for my handbags. I have this two-wheeled cart which I carry my stuff in as I go store to store looking for the best accessories to compliment the Italian tapestries. I’ve become quite good at navigating the busy sidewalks of Manhattan with my trusty little fabric cart. (I apologize in advance if I accidentally ran you over while you were visiting from out of town.)

    Once I’m back in my studio, the real fun begins. It is here where I start mixing and matching fabrics for the best blend of color and texture for each bag. From this, I make my own patterns which form the shape and function of each bag.

    In order to amp up the fun, I spend several hours a day checking Etsy and responding to emails and conversations from my Etsy followers. (Also referred to as my beloved customers!)

    Once I’ve completed the lovefest, I precisely cut the fabrics to exactly match the patterns. From this point on, I’m basically sewing my heart out with my best buddy, Juki, until my husband calls and asks why I’m still in my studio till 11 PM.

    On Saturdays, my husband, who happens to be my best friend and terrific photographer, photographs each bag with the goal of making sure what appears on Etsy is exactly what arrives at your door.

    The balance of the weekend consists of checking my orders on Etsy, packing boxes, and spending quality time on the US Postal Service website.

    So that’s my story and the story of each bag.
