Dappled Shade

I have been making for as long as I can remember, in one way or another. After getting my BA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, I started my career as a product designer, where I get to work on many interesting and challenging products. After my kids grew from tiny babies, and loved to sit and work on art themselves, I had more time to create work again. We've set up a studio space in our home and Dappled Shade was born.

Why Dappled Shade? In our crazy busy life, I crave the calm, cool, and simple. Nothing brings that feeling to mind more than sitting in the dappled shade on a breezy summer afternoon. I am inspired by the play of light and the ever changing colors and complex patterns all around us, in the passing New England seasons.
