Announcement    Welcome to Darbeads. Darby and I are full time Glass Artists who live and work creating original glass bead designs and jewelry. We are blessed to spend our time doing what we enjoy and they say if you do what you love you never work a day in your life. We started collaborating about 10 years ago when we lived in the Midwest. We found ourselves not really finding the niche for ourselves there so we took the plunge and moved to California so that we could be around like-minded and creative souls like ours. We started out in Cambria then moved to Nevada City, CA where we had a wonderful store front and studio where we taught lampworking as well as selling our glass art to the community and those that love to visit the quaint town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Living there was a constant source of inspiration. Three years ago we took a hiatus from Glass Art and moved to Tucson, AZ to raise Darbys 2 boys. During that break we found ourselves in all directions and not having the inner peace as we did in CA. We have recently found that getting back to what we love is very grounding. We are back in full swing and we hope that you love our designs as much as we do creating them. Drawn by the beauty of nature and the rich organic colors that possess this earth, we find ourselves drawing from that for inspirations. We hope that you will enjoy our expression of art!
