About DarciDolls
I embroider and make stuffed dolls.
Hi! My name is Darci and I'm an artist and mom living in Norman, Oklahoma. My passion is fiber arts, mainly embroidery, felt sculpture, and sewing. I started embroidering in college where I got my Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree, and never stopped. I've done 365-day embroidery projects the past two years, so I haven't had as much time for other things as I would like. This year's project was 365 days of food, which I embroidered then gave away in exchange for a donation to helping hungry people.
The dolls started about twelve years ago. I started making them for my own kids, then for friends, and finally started selling them at local arts markets. They've evolved a bit over the years, from simple animals to famous people and characters.
