Order Fulfillment:
To fulfill a customer's order, the customer must provide certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide), such as his or her name, email address, payment information, and the details of the product(s) ordered. A number of legal bases are relied upon to collect, use, and share information, including:
(1) As needed to provide services, such as when your information is used to fulfill an order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
(2) If necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about a customer's purchases if required by tax law; and
(3) As necessary for the purpose of legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by the customer's rights or interests, such as: (a) providing and improving services; and (b) compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing:
(1) Etsy. A customer's information is shared with Etsy as necessary to provide services and comply with obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
(2) Service Providers. Certain trusted third parties are engaged with to perform functions and provide services, such as PayPal.
(4) Legal Compliance. A customer's information may be collected, used, retained, and shared only if reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety customers, or others.

Information Retention:
Customer's information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide services and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, taxes, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements.
