Announcement
**July 2023**
Are you here for my Star Trek homage shinies? Well, I've a query in with Paramount about them, so whilst I'm waiting on a reply, I've removed them from my Etsy shop. Hopefully this will only be for a temporary period.
You can message me to make sure you get notified when I re-list them
*********
I'm back to visiting the Post Office twice weekly if orders warrant it (mostly Tuesdays and Fridays) and I welcome visitors - send me a message to make an appointment.
Tracking is a default only if you are spending a significant amount on your jewellery but is available for all orders if you select the appropriate Royal Mail upgrade
Non UK orders may be delayed by the customs process; please check your government's website to learn about any customs fees that may be due.
Remember that I'm not in control of delivery once your item is with Royal Mail :-)
Stay well, stay safe and LLAP
Hugs and jelly-babies.

5 out of 5 starsDawn was extremely responsive throughout the entire ordering and dispatch process - shared some fab tips and extra links as a crocheting beginner. The ring is beautiful and after a few attempts I now have my way of using the product which has really helped me with my tension challenges. Thank you.

5 out of 5 starsCannot fault at all, bought this larger yarn ring to add to my tools for crocheting. I previously bought from Dawn a smaller yarn ring which I use daily for DK yarn and keeps my tension the same plus prevent cramp in my fingers. Why struggle with thicker yarn when this lovely ring aids in preventing cramp in the fingers an keeps my tension the same too. Great buy, great communication and lovely service.

Owner, It's All Me :-)
I used to work in a regular office job. I loved it, but when it came to an end I felt I had an opportunity to start over; and how often do we get that in our lives? Rude not to!

London Assay Office
London, England
https://www.assayofficelondon.co.uk It's the law that any silver item over 7.78g, sold as new and silver be assayed and then hallmarked. I choose to have mine assayed at the London Assay office, which will include the mark for the year of manufacture, and my own makers mark.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders
Can I make (enter item here!) to coordinate with an item you own already, even if from another seller? Quite possibly. Please message me with as much information about your item, including photos and sizing and I'll see what I can do.
There are examples of repairs and custom match items on my facebook page if you are interested.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Is gift wrapping included? Not exactly. I will carefully wrap up your purchase in tissue paper, organza gift bag and bubble wrap, and post it in a box designed to fit through your letter box.
This keeps your postage to the minimum possible, and keeps my pieces affordable.
Sizing details
If you find the sizing a challenge, let me know if you want me to take another photo with a prop to help you decide if it's appropriate. I work on my own, so it's a challenge to photograph my items on myself!
Care instructions
Sterling silver will eventually tarnish / oxidise / patinate. It's a natural process that can be slowed down by regular wear and by keeping unworn items away from the atmosphere. If you leave your jewellery out on display, this oxidisation will be faster.
You can polish up your items, with a soft cloth, or some silver polish, or a buffing cloth such as Town Talk, which is readily available from any high street jewellers in the UK
Fine silver is 99.9% silver, and because of this the tarnish rate is much, much slower. Again, a buff should do the job for polishing it back up.
If I have patinated your silver already, be gentle when buffing!
Apply body lotion and perfume a few minutes before putting on your jewellery to help slow down tarnish
Care instructions
The gemstones I use have been sold to me by reputable dealers as untreated (unless stated specifically in the listing). They are a natural, organic creation from the earth and each one will be slightly different. You can see examples of this on my Facebook page.
I select the stones that I think go together best for each project, hence my comments that each item is individual.
Custom and personalised orders
I love a custom order request.
I like to make sure that I have understood what you want, so often will send you some photos of options and also progress photos. The more work involved in the item you want, the more often I'll send you a photo. I can do this via Etsy, but if you don't have the Etsy app on your phone, you may prefer me to send the photos via Facebook Messenger or email. Like and message me via my Facebook page and let me know if you would prefer me to do this.
I've said that custom orders aren't refundable / exchangeable. If your item doesn't meet with expectations, please contact me within 14 days of receipt so we can discuss how I can adjust it - or indeed a refund; not every custom order involves super unique details :-)

Postage to Australia - Jewellery is prohibited from import
Jewellery is on Australia Post's prohibited list. This means I CAN NOT sent it directly to you in Australia without describing it incorrectly on the customs form and risking your order being confiscated.
If you are ordering a gift for someone elsewhere, I will be delighted to post directly to them, or, if you are happy to take the chance of your item being held at customs we'll give it a go. Please send me a message either before placing or within your order
I apologise for the disappointment that this has caused you.
The information regarding this is on the UK Royal Mail website here -
https://www.royalmail.com/australia
Can I return my piece if I don't like it, or it doesn't fit?
I'm happy to have you return your item, if you do so promptly, with it's original packaging, and it's unworn in the original condition. However unless it was faulty, I can't absorb the postage - if you are returning an item that had postage included within it, for a reason other than it being faulty, there may be a restocking fee of £5 representative of an element of the postage and packing costs. If you are returning any of my other items, I will refund you for the jewellery only, not the postage paid.
Why am I being charged for postage? Why isn’t postage ‘free’ - it is with lots of other people’s listings costing over $35US?
Because ‘free’ really means 'inclusive'
I’d need to increase each listing price to cover the cost
I try to be fully transparent about all my processes; I only charge the cost of the actual postage which varies depending on the value of the item being sent (we need it insured in case it doesn’t arrive intact) & the destination. It would be impossible for me to include that within the price of each piece of jewellery fairly. Additionally many people buy more than one item and they’d then effectively be paying twice for the postage. On the rare occasion where the actual postage differs from that paid in your order, I either absorb any extra, or refund you any excess paid
