Video summary: The final finishing step for our Red Gum and Tiger's Eye ring :)

Family operation with a purpose...

Hi! We are Dan and Beth. We have been crafting our whole lives and selling online for over a decade. We are highly experienced in both customer service and in providing quality products and great prices.

Our business is entirely family-run and fully supports us. We take care of our aging parents, and as such we must always be home. Our online operations allow us to keep the lights on while always being here for them. Since we are always home, it also allows us to home school our young son, who is actually doing entire school years in only four months. What does all this mean to you? It means we take what we do seriously, because we have many family members who count on this income.

We promise to do our part by delivering the best products we can make at a great price and in a timely manner. We appreciate you for supporting our family.

Thank you from both of us...

Dan and Beth

Shipping

We keep our current production times updated in the announcement section at the top of our store page. Please look there to get an idea of how long it would be before your item ships. Please remember that our jewelry, sayas, and knife stands are handmade, and we don't allow anything to leave our shop until we are proud of it. Therefore, published production times serve only as an estimate. Clothing items are our designs that are brought to life by one of the top printers in the United States. Their production time varies but it's generally under 5 business days. All items from them are also quality checked before shipping.

We ship within the US and other select areas. Most of the time your item will be shipped via USPS. We do attach a tracking number to each order. Larger purchases may require your signature at delivery.

For orders shipping outside the US:

Customs charges, VAT fees, tariffs, or any other charges incurred within the country being shipped to are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Note as well that shipping times can vary greatly depending on the country and their customs process. We cannot be held responsible for any delays.

Do you have any advice on ring sizing?

Yes we do! Hold your hand out straight. Now, curl up your ring finger. See how the finger bulges up where the ring would be? That very thing happens hundreds of times a day through the normal use of your hands. Each time it happens, your finger places pressure along the inside of the ring, pushing outward. Over time this can break a ring. We highly recommend when you choose a size that you account for that bulging. You need to leave room for your finger to expand. Wood and resin rings can break from the constant stress if you don't account for this.

What is the difference between solid wood rings and bentwood rings?

Solid wood rings are made from cutting the ring out of a solid block of wood. They are cool because you can see the grain of the wood from all 360 degrees, so there is a lot of character to them. They are also a little less expensive to make, thus they generally cost a little less. Bentwood rings are made by bending very thin sheets of wood around a form. Several layers are bonded together to make the ring. The grain tends to have a more consistent look across the face of the ring. The biggest advantage is strength. It is by far the strongest way to make a wooden ring. You have to be on a mission to break a bentwood ring. With a solid wood ring you do need to be careful. You will want to take it off when doing things that would involve a lot of use of your hands. As such, solid wood rings are best for occasional wear. If you want something to wear daily and not worry about potential breakage, we always recommend one of our bentwood rings. They are a little more money, but you will appreciate it more in the long run.

Is the finish on your rings waterproof?

Let's debunk this myth. No matter what people say... No matter what people claim... there is no such thing as a waterproof finish with wood. We have been working with wood all our lives, and we have done everything from rings to desks to work on wooden boats. One thing we know: Sooner or later the water always wins. While many artists on Etsy will claim that their finish is waterproof, we will not make that claim, because it would be a lie (and for the record, we are all using the same basic products to finish our rings.) Will you have issues if you wash your hands every now and then with your ring on? No, probably not. Will you have issues if you swim with your ring on, lose it in the pool, and find it on the bottom the next morning? Ya. Maybe. It's wood. Water is its enemy, and no finish will fend off that enemy forever.

How do you determine the price of your items?

Our prices are determined according to the cost of materials and the time involved in crafting the item. Our goal is always to provide quality products at reasonable prices.

Do you do this as a hobby?

Nope. We do this as a full-fledged business. There are many hobby crafters on Etsy, and we have tremendous respect for their work. We, however, expect to make money. This is a benefit to you because it proves we take it seriously. We work very hard to deliver quality products and make happy customers. This business feeds our family, so we give it all we have!

Frequently asked questions

What is your return policy for rings?

If you truly don't like your ring, it can be returned if you contact us within 7 days of arrival. The ring must be returned in brand new condition, and there is a 25% restocking fee. The fee is waived if you choose another item of equal or greater value from our shop. Please note that custom orders are not eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation.

Do you make items other than what you have listed in your store?

Yes. We have made everything from earrings to desks! If you don’t see it in our store please contact us. If we can’t make it, we might be able to point you to someone who can.

Will the item I buy look exactly like what I see pictured?

The best way to put it is that it will look very similar. Our rings, earrings, ear plugs, knife stands, and sayas are custom made per order. If you are buying a wooden item, then expect the grain patterns and color to be unique. If you are buying a resin item, then understand that we do a custom resin pour for each order, which will make it unique. Small variations can also appear in our other materials. Items brought to life by one of our production partners should be a nearly accurate match, though again small variations can happen. We are of the opinion that small variations are something to be celebrated as they allow each item to stand out from the others.

Do you offer custom gift wrapping?

Yes we do, at least for the items we craft here in our shop. The cost of wrapping will vary depending on your item and your specific requests. Contact us and we can discuss the options.

Do you personally make all the items in your shop?

Our rings, earrings, ear plugs, sayas, and knife stands - all made from wood or resin - are handmade by us in our shop. All other items are designed by us and made into a finished product with the help of one of our production partners. They help us bring items to life that we would otherwise not be able to offer! If you are unsure about how an item is produced, check its description. Still unsure? Feel free to message us and ask :)

Do you offer refinishing on your items?

We can refinish our wood rings. In fact, we will do this once for free during the first year of ownership. We ask that you simply pay to ship it to us. Contact us if you want to take advantage of this. After the first year or after the first refinish, whichever comes first, there will be a small charge. Contact us for details.

I accidentally ordered the wrong size ring. Can you help me?

We can! We will offer a one-time exchange for this issue. We ask that you contact us immediately and let us know. We will ask you to visit your local jewelry counter and have them size you so that we can be accurate. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping, and the item you are returning must be in new condition. We will craft your new item after we have physically received your return. NOTE: Size exchanges are offered for US customers only. Size exchanges are not offered for customers outside the US. Also, this policy applies to rings. Gauges cannot be returned or exchanged for size issues.

The item I bought arrived damaged. What do I do?

We do our very best to make high quality products, but on rare occasions our efforts are undone during shipping. If your item should arrive damaged please contact us immediately. We will replace the item quickly. We do ask that you take a photo of the packaging and a photo of the item. We will need these in order to file a damage claim with the carrier. Please do not dispose of the damaged item or its packaging until instruction by us to do so.

Do you offer discounts for ordering multiple items?

Such requests are handled on a case by case basis and will depend on what you want to purchase. Contact us and we can discuss the possibilities.
