ddwoodcreations' Shop Announcement

Welcome to the home of DDWoodCreations. The majority of my projects are made from hardwoods from the Pacific Northwest. Myrtle wood from the Oregon Coast is a personal favorite. I do not buy bowl blanks, but large chunks directly from a mill in Oregon that specializes in Myrtle wood.

The maple and walnut that I use comes from a local logger who specializes in burls and figured maple. Maple from the Pacific Northwest is some of the finest wood for turning.

Many of the pieces I have turned have come from trees in the area that are being removed. Some of the prettiest things I have turned came from a large cherry tree that a good friend cut down. I am always looking for unique pieces of wood.

I use natural turquoise that I crush myself to get the right grain for the pieces with inlays.

Each of my projects is unique and one of a kind.
