sorry i have no picture to add. but i ordered this a month or two ago and i havent stopped receiving compliments. VERY cool. thank you for customizing the knife slots for my knife set, unbelievable service!

after 30 years of thinking ...

and using essentially only my brain to earn a living for those 30 years (as a professional, office-based engineer), and with the BIG 5-0 fast approaching, I decided I needed a change in life direction. I badly needed to make something ... something tangible instead of calculations and reports. Something that injected a bit of whimsy into the world but yet had an intrinsic legitimacy to exist as a functional product. If there was still a little bit of thinking involved that would be OK, but the majority of the work needed to be physical (ideally with with a zen/meditative edge).

From this maelstrom of middle-aged (male) delirium out fell ... the kitchen bull, the first of a string of cuteso / whimsical / quasi-quirky, yet hopefully completely logical, products I have planned.

As I have come to learn from hard experience however, change and evolution can be a slow process so my transition is still in process.

In terms of my etsy store, deadpenguincreative, and the toro legno brand, I am entirely a one man operation - from inception to execution and distribution. In terms of the kitchen bull I do pretty much everything myself ... although I do outsource the production of some components (especially if it has a screw thread on it) ... and I also don't make my own plywood (just yet).
