Hey there! Welcome to Dear Chantilly! Dear Chantilly started way back in 2014 - we've been on quite the journey in the past few years and we aren't afraid to admit we've had a little work done - not quite as much as a Beverly Hills Housewife but a little none the less. We're pretty happy with our latest facelift, we're back to our roots, creating gorgeous hair accessories for the modern gal. You know the one, the one who has so much to do she doesn't have time for all that upkeep that comes with high maintenance accessorising. Between play dates, photo ops, running her ever popular Instagram account and afternoon naps she's got to make sure she looks her best with as little fuss as possible. And that's where we come in, we like simple too and that's why we strive to create pieces that are simple, timeless, feminine and fun - cause don't forget girls just wanna have fun, even a busy gal!

I'm Danielle, the owner, designer, chief photographer, packaging extraordinaire and all round boss babe of Dear Chantilly. I'm 22 years old and I live in sunny Queensland, Australia. I'm a creative at heart and a true blue fiery Sagittarius - honest, too curious for my own good, generous, completely impatient and pretty darn funny - if I do say so myself. I'm a homebody, grammar Nazi, comedy movie lover and family oriented girl. I love dogs and hate snakes. I'll never turn down a doughnut. I always have my nails painted but hate doing my hair and I have an extreme addiction to buying things in every colour - you should see my closet.

Hi! And welcome to Dear Chantilly.

I'm Danielle and I am the owner, creator and designer of this Etsy store. In my store you will find handmade hair accessories and apparel all available for purchase. Each and every item in this store is personally made by me, with great care taken to ensure every item is as beautifully made and crafted as possible, however some variations may occur as with anything that is handmade - those small variations and imperfections is what makes each item unique and it is one of the main reasons why we buy handmade.

I love doing custom orders on everything I sell in my shop, so if you see something you like or you want me to create something just for you for your occasion please don't hesitate the 'Contact Seller' button and send me a message with your request. I will work carefully with you to ensure that anything that you purchase is to the best quality I can produce.

If you have any questions regarding items in my store or anything else, please contact me and I will respond to you usually within 24 hours (but it's usually sooner)

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
Dear Chantilly Original Fabric: Returns are not accepted on items made from Dear Chantilly Original Fabric under any circumstances. In the event of a problem we will offer you a store credit or replacement item of your choosing.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds on any Dear Chantilly products. We DO however offer replacements and should you have an issue with your order we are happy to offer you a store credit (to the value of your item)

Returns on stock MAY be accepted if the product is defective or faulty. (For example: ripped or torn) If you have received an item that has a fault, please contact us within 72 hours of receiving your item. Please attach a photograph of the issue with your message. Once we assess the problem we will work with you on a solution. Usually a replacement or store credit is offered, when you are offered a replacement you are required to return the original item to us, we will repair or replace it and return it to you. We will pay the postage once it has been mended/replaced but you the buyer are responsible for the postage to return the item to us.

Unfortunately due to the custom nature of personalised or custom orders refunds and returns are not accepted.

Cancelations. If you would like to cancel your order you must do so within 48 hours. After that time I cannot guarantee it has not been started. Once an order has begun production it cannot (and will not) be cancelled under any circumstances.

I work extremely hard to ensure that you are provided with the best product/s and excellent customer service possible. I honestly want you to be happy with any items that you order from me!

Dear Chantilly holds the right to change these policies at any time without warning or reason. We also hold the right to refuse any requests we deem unreasonable without any reason needed.
Payment
I currently accept payments from credit cards, debit cards, Etsy gift cards and via PayPal.

If you are paying via PayPal, payment must be received promptly before the item is dispatched to you. If payment has not been received in 24 hours after the order has been placed I will cancel your order. You are more than welcome to re-order but payment must be received in 24 hours. If a partial payment is made (due to any reason) full payment must be made before your item is shipped.

Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your order you must do so within 48 hours after your purchase, after that time I cannot guarantee your item has not been started, items that have begun production cannot be cancelled.

Rush orders: Please note, unless otherwise communicated we do not accept rush orders. If you need your order by a specific date contact us beforehand to see if this is possible. In some cases we may be able to accomodate a rush order but this will incur a rush fee. Please do not just leave a date in the Notes to Seller box, it is easily overlooked and we cannot gurantee it will be shipped by that date unless you contact us beforehand. Any orders that do not arrive in time and have not been communicated about via Etsy Converstations or email are not Dear Chantilly's responsibility and we do not take responsibility.

Partial Payments: On certain occassions we accept installment payments. Please contact us before hand to makes those arrangements. Please note that these requirements also apply to items purchased with codes invalid to your order. Please note that your order will NOT be sent until payment has been made IN FULL. No exceptions. After we have recieved the full amount your order will be sent as normal.
Shipping
I will ship to the address listed on Etsy, not PayPal.

If the item you ordered is not a custom order item/s it will be shipped within the current turn around time. On your order invoice you will find a date at which your order should ship, use this date as a guide. Your order will be shipped on or before the date shown on your invoice. Please check with me if you need your item sooner. Your item will arrive to you nicely packaged, optional gift wrapping is avaliable at your request.

International Orders:

Unless otherwise stated I ship all my international orders via Letter Rate Air Mail. We use this postage method to keep costs low for our customers. Unfortunately, tracking is not avaliable via the Letter Rate Air Mail shipping method. Australia Post states international airmail takes approximately 10 business days (and up to 30 days) to arrive. This may vary depending on time of year and mail traffic. Please be aware of this before you make your purchase, we do not control the postal system so if your order is needed by a certain date it is best to order with ample time. If you require a faster shipping method please contact me and I will do my best to find something suitable for you at your own cost.

We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or stolen. However in the unlikely case of your item going missing I will happily offer a replacement after 45 days.

SAFTEY INFORMATION: Dear Chantilly pieces are sometimes made with items that are small in nature and may pose a choking hazzard. Please insure that whenever your child is wearing apparel or accessories that they are supervised. Do not allow your children to sleep in their accessories/apparel. Dear Chantilly takes no responsibility for any incidnets that may arise. Please exercise extreme caution when placing items on your child that contain small parts.

APPAREL CARE: Each apparel order will arrive to you with an care information card. Please follow the instructions on that card to ensure your item stays looking it's best for as long as possible. Failure to adhere to the care instructions may result in your item loosing it shape, fading etc. Dear Chantilly does not take any responsiblity for the care of items after they leave us. All fabric at Dear Chantilly is pre-washed in plain water to pre-shrink fabric. Items can still on occassion shrink during the washing process for a number of reasons (type of machine, setting, water temperature, cleaning agent used, item being placed in the dryer etc.) and Dear Chantilly can take no responsibility for how your item is cared for.
