    God gave us memories that we might have roses in December

    Thank you for stopping in and visitng December Rose Designs. I hope you enjoy what you see as much as I enjoyed creating my art pieces. The pieces I create incorporate my love of words with my love for photography. I'm inspired by the beauty of everyday and it's my hope this is conveyed throughout December Rose.

    You might be wondering why I chose the name December Rose Designs as the name of my shop. I grew up the typical middle child, my heart breaking for Jan Brady and every embarrassing moment she endured as, Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, seemed to skate through episode after episode...or at least that the way I saw it week after week. I began to relate to being a middle child more than I should have.

    Mom was a pretty thrifty housewife whiich meant there was very little frivolous spending especially on the middle child. So when mom came home one day from the Hallmark store with a brown paperbag that she handed to me with a smile on her face and a warm hug, I wasn't sure what to think. Inside the bag was a yellow plaque with a picture of a bouquet of pink roses and a quote by J.M. Barrie that read...

    God gave us memories that we might have roses in December.

    It was just what my heart and self-esteem needed.Up to that point, I always thought mom favored my older, prettier, more talented sister. I was, Jan, the awkward one, complete with braces, glasses and...wait for it...pimples. From then on whenever mom would refer to me as her December Rose, I knew she loved me just as much as she loved my sister. Little by little my confidence grew and soon I wore the title of middle child as a badge of honor.

    When I decided to open my shop, it seemed natural to incorporate December Rose into the shop's name. After all, I want every aspect of the shop to be as special as I felt when mom called me her December Rose. Special to my clients. Special to me. Special to anyone who stops by my shop, even just to take a look.

    From the loving detail I put into each piece, to the careful packaging, to ensuring the piece arrives in pristine conditiion, to the attentive service I provide, answering and responding to questions or concerns you may have, I want it to be special.

    From start to finish, I hope your entire experience is as important as having roses in December.

    December Rose Designs accepts most major credit/debit cards thru Etsy Direct Checkout, PayPal and Etsy gift cards. This ensures all payments are processed thru a secured site for your protection.

    Payments are not processed until shipment occurs for standard items. Due to the nature of special orders, 50% of the payment may be processed upon receipt of the order.
    When will my order be shipped out?

    Give us 3-5 business days from the date you placed your order, and we’ll have your package carefully and lovingly wrapped and on its way
    How do I change my shipping address after my order has been placed?

    Once you've placed an order, we’re already working to get it shipped for you. If you need to change your shipping address after that point, email us at customercare [!at] and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Please be sure to put your request and order number in the subject line of the email, so we can get to it as quickly as possible. Example: Change Shipping Address Order #ABC123. If you don't know your order number, provide the name we are billing under.

    What are your shipping options?

    U.S ORDERS are shipped using USPS via Priority Mail or Express Mail which normally takes 2-5 days. You will be provided with delivery confirmation and tracking number as soon as it's available.

    INTERNATIONAL ORDERS are shipped using USPS via First Class International Service with tracking number, it usually takes 10-18 days in transit.
    Import taxes - custom fees (if any) are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the item price and shipping cost. Please refer to your country's import policy for more information. UK orders may be subject to VAT tax.

    My order has been damaged upon arrival. What do I do?

    What a disappointment! We’re so sorry to hear that your package was abused en route. If you snap a pic of the damaged package and product and send the picture to customercare [!at], we’ll do what we can to make things right!
