Welcome to Deckert Woodworking!

My wife and I are truly blessed by our two beautiful princesses. Over the past several years, I have gained the patience to work on projects over time, and not rush them to completion. I owe that to the three of them. They have motivated and inspired me to work carefully on crafted pieces that we can either use ourselves, or share with others. Being able to spend time in my shop is something I am extremely grateful for, and also owe to my family.

I find that there is something majestic about being able to work with wood, recycling the beauty of nature, and turning into something that someone can hold onto for a lifetime. I am especially beside myself whenever I get the opportunity to work with local lumber. Every tree has a story and history behind it, and to be able to know what that is brings me happiness and allows me to tell more of the story around the gifts that I am making.

Can you make items that are not already listed in your shop?

Absolutely! Please start a conversation with me and include your details. I am always more than happy to at a minimum, provide a quote on your custom order. I will work with you and your specific needs to reach the best possible solution.

I had the wrong address entered and you shipped to that address, can you reship?

I am sorry, I can't pick up the cost on errors. Please, ensure your shipping address is correct prior to ordering. Thanks!

Do you offer tracking?

For U.S. packages there will be a tracking number sent when the item has been shipped. Please understand I cannot be responsible for postal delays as they are out of my control. In the UNLIKELY event your package is lost by the postal system I will replace it and ship via the original shipping method, not expedited at my expense. I apologize in advance for any delays caused by the USPS. They do happen on rare occasion.

My product arrived damaged! Now what?

I do my best to package your purchase extremely carefully, however, in the off chance that your purchase was damaged during shipment, please let me know right away and provide some pictures (for insurance purposes). I will work with the delivery provider for insurance purposes and will replace it and ship via the original shipping method, not expedited at our expense. Custom orders may require additional replacement time. I apologize in advance for any damages caused by the USPS. They do happen on rare occasion.

Do you offer a rush service?

Yes, on most occasions I do offer a rush service. The price on this will fluctuate based off the product(s) being made. This does not include shipping time, only my completion time. Please note: I may not always be able to offer RUSH service due to workload, or material availability. Decisions will be made on a case by case basis. Please inquire. This fee is non-refundable even if item is returned, or if postal service causes unforeseen delays.

How can we contact you?

How do I care for my cutting board?

Cutting boards come packaged with specific care instructions. Please refer to those first. If you have any questions that are not answered in the care instructions, please contact me for additional help.

My purchase broke! Now what?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of your purchase being made from wood, it is possible that you may break the item by dropping or mishandling it. Sadly, I am not able to refund your money or replace mishandled products. If you believe that your product was delivered with a defect, please contact me. I will likely ask for pictures for my own record keeping purposes.
