Great accessories for you and your home

What started out a few years ago for me as a way to wear jewelry in colors and styles that best suited me has turned into a love of creating so many different items made with beads!

I began taking a couple of classes through my community education programs and then practiced by making pieces to wear myself. It surprised me that I picked it up so easily because I had always considered myself more analytical and not particularly artistic. But then again, I have parents who are pretty handy with tools and some of that rubbed off on me. As I started getting the hang of it, my friends and family asked me to make custom jewelry for them. Usually they helped pick out beads or styles and I took it from there.

Then I discovered that I could make other things with beads – bookmarks, lanyards, rosaries, wine glass charms, Christmas ornaments and more. What a great way to use up (and a great reason to buy more) beads and supplies!

I get inspiration everywhere. I look at a pair of earrings and decide how I could take an aspect of it and make it my own. I get suggestions or questions from customers that get my creative juices flowing in another direction with new techniques, materials and end products. I go to stores and try to figure out new uses for everyday items.

In 2012 I began incorporating paper beads (handmade in Rwanda, Africa) in some of my designs. I had the pleasure of visiting some of the women who make the beads and really enjoy creating with these beautiful and unique beads.

I’m continually learning about beading, colors, techniques and design. I appreciate all of the wonderful feedback, ideas and constructive criticism I receive from my customers and friends. I hope that my love for creating shows in everything I make. Feel free to contact me with any new ideas you may have – I’m up for a challenge!

In addition to selling completed items, I am now selling some of my "excess" beads and supplies in my second Etsy shop. Please check out if you are interested in purchasing loose beads for your own projects. I put the word excess in quotes because as anyone with a passion for beads knows, you really never have enough beads, let alone too many. Let’s be honest, it's really about making room for me to buy MORE beads!

Returns and exchange details
Any damage upon receipt should be communicated to me immediately. If you have any problems or issues within the first 14 days after purchase, please let me know. I will work with you to make corrections as needed.

If something needs to be shipped back to me for changes, you will be responsible for the return shipping (both ways) as well as any costs incurred to make the change. Within the first 14 days, you may return the item for credit in my shop. After that time, all sales are final.

PLEASE NOTE: Custom orders will be considered final at the time of shipping and returns will not be accepted.
Payments should be made via PayPal or direct checkout credit card within 2 days of purchase. Etsy will charge sales tax on your order based upon the shipping destination.

Note that as a shop owner, I do not have access to any of your credit card information - that part is handled by Etsy and only the money and shipping details are given to me.

Custom orders are welcome, but payment will be agreed upon up front. Please contact me for further information regarding custom orders. Discounts are only available for wholesale orders, and for larger orders. I will consider discounts on a per order basis only when requested prior to payment. Once an order is processed and paid for through Etsy, refunds will not be given.
Shipments of listed items (or those with minor changes) will go out within 1-3 business days of receipt of payment unless otherwise noted in the item listing. Items will be shipped through the US Postal Service unless other method is requested and arranged for prior to purchase. USPS delivery confirmation is included in shipping costs. I ship to the Etsy shipping address, so please make a note to seller at checkout if you need your purchase shipped to a different address.

Custom orders may take longer to ship, but I will communicate that information to you during our discussions.

If you need something shipped internationally, you will be responsible for knowing whether your country has rules about importing jewelry and other components. If you agree to purchase from my shop, you are responsible for any additional costs incurred with customs, duty or other shipment related imports for your country (for example, for U.K. buyers, on certain purchases from the U.S., shipments may be subject to a VAT tax and Royal Mail fee). I use USPS to ship internationally, but am willing to use other methods if you contact me and we can work out the proper documentation and payment.

I typically ship orders in bubble envelopes. I may be able to gift wrap your items if you request it prior to ordering. Gifts will be wrapped in smaller boxes or soft packaging that fit inside a bubble envelope or small carton if necessary (additional shipping costs will apply to use of a box instead of bubble envelope).

I include an invoice with purchase as a means of having shipping address inside the package. If your purchase is a gift, please indicate gift during checkout so a note and receipt without costs can be included.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you have questions, please let me know. Please note that the items sold in this shop are handmade. Each is unique and may have small differences or minor irregularities that should not affect the use of the product.

I will be happy to adjust the length of items if you let me know prior to purchase. If you have allergy or sensitivity concerns, please contact me before purchase as some items may contain nickel or other allergens.

While I try to use parts that do not contain lead or other similar substances, I cannot guarantee that items for sale do not contain those substances.

I recommend storing your jewelry in an enclosed case or bag. Zip top bags work great to keep things separated and untangled, and help to avoid tarnish. It makes it easy to travel with various pieces when they're in their own bags. Anti-tarnish strips can be found in many stores and online, and can help when placed in a plastic bag with your jewelry. Polishing cloths are also great for removing tarnish from metal components (but keep in mind they can remove the metal plating on some items).

Jewelry items are well made to withstand normal wear. I do not recommend wearing them overnight or for extended periods of time. Jewelry and non-jewelry items are not meant to be worn in or soaked in water (shower, pool, tubs, etc.) or washed in the sink, dishwasher, etc. I suggest using a damp cloth as needed after wear or use, and air drying fully before storage.

Use care with items made with flexible wire - they can kink easily. They are best kept flat or loosely rolled.

All items contain small beads and parts that may not be suitable for children under 13 or pets. I do not make jewelry or other items for anyone under the age of 13, including wedding party jewelry. If you choose to purchase items for children under 13 years of age, you do so at your own risk.

Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
