Absolutely love this piece of art - can't wait to get it framed and hung. Shipping was fast and the item was well packaged so it arrived in pristine condition. Happy to support the Canadian art community.

About

The art of coloured water

I have a profound love and respect for the natural world, and I strive to honour the earth as I journey through life. I opened this shop as a way to share my artwork with others, as I think it's important to celebrate nature.

I paint in watercolours using tiny paintbrushes, and I often work outside in natural spaces. I create my own high quality prints in studio, and print, dry, cut, and package each one individually by hand myself.

I spend a considerable amount of time being in nature and experiencing her beauty and worth. I am an environmentalist at heart and I take great effort in minimizing my footprint on the earth.

Making prints myself means that I have the ability to minimize energy, as well as material use and waste. My cardboard backing, envelopes and business cards are earth friendly and made from 100% recycled post consumer and post industrial biodegradable paper waste. My info and packing sheets are printed on EarthChoice paper which is Rainforest Alliance certified, Ecologo certified for reduced environmental impact, and FSC certified for global forest management standards. My printers and scanners are energy efficient and Energy Star certified.

I have a BSc in Biology and I research my materials and their effects on the planet and people, before purchasing and using them. I also create and paint with my own pigments that I extract naturally from earth.

It is important for me to create a product that is beautiful, archival, and that benefits the environment. I am so happy to be on this path!

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I am honoured to share my work with you, and I am inspired to know that I am not alone in my journey of loving the earth.

I love sending gifts! If your order is a GIFT for someone, please let me know if I should leave the invoice out. Also, I am happy to include a special note or card with your gift shipment and look forward to creating this little addition with you. Please let me know your ideas.

I SHIP prints nationally and internationally via standard delivery/letter mail. Tracking is not included on the prints, but can be arranged if you would like (additional shipping costs would apply).

*****************************
EXPECTED DELIVERY TIMES as stated by Canada Post Delivery Standards:

Canada: 2-4 Business Days
USA: 4-6 Business Days
All other countries: 4-7 Business Days

IMPORTANT: Please note, these are expected delivery times, and are not guaranteed. Shipping internationally can take a considerable amount of time. The majority of my shipments reach their destination within one week, however, I have had shipments take 6 weeks to arrive. There are a variety of factors that might contribute to delay. I am in Canada and if you are in another country the order might be temporarily held up in customs. Also, delivery times are dependent upon destination (your proximity to an urban centre, border crossings, etc).

IF DELIVERY TIMES ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU: I am happy to ship your order expedite/express/priority, etc. Please contact me about available options to upgrade. Generally, there will be an additional shipping cost.

*****************************

The SHIPPING FEE includes all the shipping and handling costs (shipping rates, packaging supplies, time associated with packaging and post office, etc).

Please DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ADDRESS BEFORE SUBMITTING your order. If you have supplied me with an old address or the wrong address on your Etsy order and the artwork is returned to me, please understand that I will need to re-bill you a second shipping charge to re-ship. If an error has occurred on my behalf, I will cover the costs to re-ship.
Refunds and Exchanges
Giving you the best product I can is important to me. I would like my customers to be happy with their artwork - please CONTACT ME if you have any questions BEFORE making your purchase.

If you are unsatisfied with your order once you receive it, please let me know before leaving feedback so that I have the opportunity to remedy the situation.

If you change your mind on a particular print you had decided on, I am happy to exchange it.

The print should be returned (sent back) in the original condition and packaging within 7 days of receipt. Please contact me prior to returning. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

Please understand that there is no refund or exchange on custom work, therefore I encourage you to communicate all your ideas and expectations before I begin a custom piece for you.
