Zooo blij met dit geweldige kleed! Perfect handwerk, zeer mooie kwaliteit. Echt een kunstwerkje op de vloer! Verzending zoals afgesproken precies na 14 dagen. Ook zeer vlotte en sympathieke beantwoording van mijn mails. Aanrader, deze shop!!!

The scarf was beautiful! I ordered two scarves almost identical one silk and one wool. Both were perfect. This was a special order and I got in about a week (maybe 8-9 days) after ordering and paying. From Amsterdam to Houston during the Christmas holidays was just unbelievable. Would highly recommend. Great shop and great owner. Her English is better than she thinks it is (speaks very fluently). Thank you so much!

Della Lana is a multi disciplinary designer working with ancient techniques.

The materials I use:

Felt is a soft, strong and warm non woven cloth that is produced by matting, condensing and pressing woollen fibres. It's a labor intensive process that takes a lot of time, patience and, of course, love in order to achieve these amazing results.

Porcelain is a ceramic material made by heating materials, generally including clay in the form of kaolin, in a kiln to temperatures between 1,200 °C (2,192 °F) and 1,400 °C (2,552 °F). The toughness, strength, and translucence of porcelain arise mainly from the formation of glass and the mineral mullite within the fired body at these high temperatures.
Porcelain derives its present name from old Italian porcellana (cowrie shell) because of its resemblance to the translucent surface of the shell. Porcelain can informally be referred to as "china" or "fine china" in some English-speaking countries, as China was the birthplace of porcelain making. Properties associated with porcelain include low permeability and elasticity; considerable strength, hardness, toughness, whiteness, translucency and resonance; and a high resistance to chemical attack and thermal shock.

A part of my jewelry is made from sterling silver (standard silver), an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper. Sterling silver (stamped 925) is harder than pure silver, and has a lower melting point (893°C) than either pure silver or pure copper.

Historically, the training and guild organization of goldsmiths included silversmiths, as well, and the two crafts remain largely overlapping. Unlike blacksmiths, silversmiths do not shape the metal while it is red-hot, but instead, work it at room temperature with gentle and carefully placed hammer blows. The essence of silversmithing is to take a flat piece of metal and to transform it into a useful object using different hammers, stakes and other simple tools.
