I have always had a love for making jewelry. When I was 8 years old, I saved up some birthday money to buy my first jewelry making kit from the store that consisted of plastic beads and stretchy elastic cord. I made some audacious creations that my family proudly sported, making my little 8 year old heart beam! As I got older, I progressed to fishing line and seed beads; then I discovered Hobby Lobby and that opened up a whole new world to me.
Fast forward to 2013: my husband and I were planning to go on a mission trip to Peru and needed to raise some money, several thousand dollars to be exact. I had seen where people were getting names stamped onto necklaces so I started researching and that's when I discovered hand-stamping metal. It wasn't anything new, but there was nobody in our area who did this craft and I was eager to learn. We raised the money we needed for our trip, and when I got home, I decided that this was something I wanted to pursue further as a means to supplement our income since I stay at home with our children.
For the past eight years, I have been learning more and more techniques such as soldering metal to make beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry. I hope that my jewelry is able to tell a story for each person who purchases a piece. A story of hope after loss, a story of healing, a story of pressing on, a love story, or even just a message of inspiration or encouragement. Every piece is special, and I am honored to play a part in making that story come to life in a tangible way. While I am no longer hand-stamping jewelry (because of the wear and tear it's causing to my body), I am making jewelry that looks VERY similar to what I've always done, the process is a little different.
Our little family has grown by leaps and bounds over the last eight years; we are now a family of seven plus our two fur babies. By supporting my business, you're also supporting my dream of staying home to raise our children while creatively doing something I absolutely love!
