Care instructions
Plants will arrive with roots already (unless specified) and can be planted directly into the garden or in pots. Like Opuntias, make sure that the soil is properly draining (at least 50% mineral).
Place your plants in the garden where they will receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. This will ensure that they will store up enough energy to be vibrant, healthy and have lots of flowers.
We suggest covering newly planted Agave with frost cloth or styrofoam the first 2 winters so the roots establish.
We recommend John Spain’s book ‘Growing Winter Hardy Cacti in Cold Wet Climatic Conditions’ for top notch info on how to grow your hardy plants.
Happy gardening!
