Handmade Soap with an Artistic Flare
My soaping journey started 7 years ago with an episode of Crafter's Coast to Coast, where they highlighted how to make handmade soap for gifts and I thought, "why stop there?" I started Desert Soapstone. When Desert didn't quite fit into the North Dakota theme I changed the name to Oakleaf and Moss, a name that fits no matter where I end up.
I come from artists on both sides of the family and didn't realize how much I love creating until I made my first soap batch, although sometimes my endeavors are not so pretty. Those items end up in my oops section. ;-) I can't wait to try my hand at painting one day and also learning the guitar. I love to sing, help my daughter with her drawings and go hiking, biking and I love to travel, but hate to fly.
I take custom handmade soap orders upon request and love every minute of their preparation. I put love in every bar and try to keep favorites and repeat orders available, although sometimes, you just have to convo me for a favorite.
That's it. That's Oakleaf and Moss. A small handmade soap with the stuff dreams are made of.
Owner, Maker, Designer, Soap Swirler
Desert rat turned plains jumper, I used to help my awesome architect husband draw dream homes, now I make dreamy handcrafted soap. My color choices are inspired by the amazing array of color we find in nature.
Lead graphics designer, tester and all around swell gal.
