DesertTalismans' Shop Announcement

:: July 5, 2015 :: Still walking with the Ancestors, I've been working on a white mother-of-pearl pendant with turquoise inlay using the ancient stone-ground techniques. It's been a labor of love, for sure! I want to weave a cord for it and add a stone-ground turquoise bead or two, and hope that it will be ready for listing in the next day or so.

Walk in Beauty,
Dawn

Please note that I do not do commission work. I've received many inquiries about this recently, but have found that the creative energy doesn't flow for me in that way. See my shop policies for more information about this, and any other questions that you might have.

You can see my blog at http://deserttalismans.blogspot.com, where I occasionally post photos and articles related to my work.

My talismans are all about connection to the land...the spirit within the desert. I believe we need these connections in our increasingly artificial lives, a link to the timeless, deeper reality of stone, light, heat and earth. There is a beauty and a healing power in the severity of the desert...be still and listen.

These Desert Primitive talismans are the children of my soul: primal and elemental, they evoke a timeless Dreamtime world centered in the American Desert Southwest. They feature unusual stones, materials or ethnographic talismans and are completely handcrafted. While I work I am in a meditative, quiet space, infusing each talisman with beneficial energies and my prayers and blessings for you...the unseen energy at the heart of each piece is the true center of my work. Each piece is sent to you beautifully packaged in a hand-decorated gift box or handmade Tarahumara Indian basket.

I do my best to photograph and describe each item carefully, and my shop policy section is as thorough as I can make it. Please read through these, and if you find that they don't answer your questions, contact me through Etsy. As one of my customers, I will stay in touch with you throughout our transaction until I am sure you have your talisman safely and are satisfied.

Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you enjoy your look around!

Desert Blessings,
Dawn
