DesertTalismans' Shop Announcement

:: Tuesday, September 1 :: Some people have reported problems with connecting to my new website. The correct address is: . You should have no trouble getting to it if you use that address, but if you do, please let me know, and tell me what your computer tells you. I am working on the problem and hope to have it resolved soon. Thanks for your patience.

I want to extend a heartfelt THANKS to all of my wonderful customers who have supported me on Etsy over the years, and I hope you will visit my new site. I had you in mind when I was developing it, because I wanted you to have a more quality, professional space to visit without all of the clutter and restrictions imposed by Etsy.

You'll notice several items from the shop have disappeared: they've moved over to the new site because they're Desert Primitive core pieces. From here on, I plan to list the Desert Primitive pieces over there. This shop will feature my mixed-media talismans and more ethnographically-oriented pieces.

I've been working on this for what feels like forever, and now I can't wait to get back to the studio this week....!

Walk in Beauty,

Please note that I do not do commission work. I've received many inquiries about this recently, but have found that the creative energy doesn't flow for me in that way. See my shop policies for more information about this, and any other questions that you might have.

You can see my blog at, where I occasionally post photos and articles related to my work.

My talismans are all about connection to the land...the spirit within the desert. I believe we need these connections in our increasingly artificial lives, a link to the timeless, deeper reality of stone, light, heat and earth. There is a beauty and a healing power in the severity of the still and listen.

These Desert Primitive talismans are the children of my soul: primal and elemental, they evoke a timeless Dreamtime world centered in the American Desert Southwest. They feature unusual stones, materials or ethnographic talismans and are completely handcrafted. While I work I am in a meditative, quiet space, infusing each talisman with beneficial energies and my prayers and blessings for you...the unseen energy at the heart of each piece is the true center of my work. Each piece is sent to you beautifully packaged in a hand-decorated gift box or handmade Tarahumara Indian basket.

I do my best to photograph and describe each item carefully, and my shop policy section is as thorough as I can make it. Please read through these, and if you find that they don't answer your questions, contact me through Etsy. As one of my customers, I will stay in touch with you throughout our transaction until I am sure you have your talisman safely and are satisfied.

Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you enjoy your look around!

Desert Blessings,
