Hello! My name is Kayla and I’ve been doing stained glass art as a hobby since January 2022. I love creating art, I’ve dipped my toes in the water with so many mediums over the years, but nothing quite clicked with me like stained glass does. In January of 2023, I started sharing my glass work on instagram (@DesertWillowGlass) and started this Etsy store.

Each piece is handmade by me. Once I have a pattern created, I hand cut each individual piece of glass, grind them to size, then wrap them in a copper foil tape that will allow solder to connect the pieces. Once it is soldered, I clean, polish, and seal each art piece. Each step in the process takes quite a bit of time and focus. Nothing is better than the satisfaction and pride from finishing a new piece.
