Colors are true to what is listed. It is very pretty however I wish that the vinyl was a bit sturdier. Took a couple of attempts to get the words up....however this could be because the words that I ordered were very thin. Overall I am happy with the way it turned out.
Returns and exchanges
If and when a REFUND is funded....the cost of the order minus the shipping charges will be refunded back to the customer.
Additional policies and FAQs
Make sure the surface to which the vinyl is being applied is smooth, dry and free of dust and dirt. (Note: Vinyl will not stick to stucco or brick) Design-a-Line products are removable, but may not be repositioned or reused. Do not apply to freshly painted walls or boards! Wait a minimum of 2 weeks after painting your wall and at least 2 hours after painting your boards.
PLAN YOUR LAYOUT:
Using a laser level or a ruler, determine the exact area where the words will be placed. You can draw a line lightly with a pencil to act as a guide – these markings can be erased or washed off the surface after application. (OR you can always just “eyeball” it!)
PREPARE YOUR VINYL:
Rub the front of your quote with a flat edge (such as a credit card) to insure that it adheres to the clear transfer tape. Place your quote face up and slowly peel the backing paper (shiny waxy paper) away from the words. The vinyl should remain on the transfer tape. If not, rub and try again until all lettering is on the clear transfer tape.
APPLYING THE VINYL:
Once the vinyl has been separated from the waxy backing paper, it is ready to be applied to the wall. Pick up the quote by the edges of the transfer tape. (Make sure you don’t let the tape touch each other.) Place the words exactly where you want them and press on the lettering with your hand. Rub once again with a flat edge. Peel off the transfer tape, being careful to leave the vinyl on the wall. If the vinyl still sticks to the tape, rub the tape in that particular spot again and repeat process.(Note: It is important to be as accurate as possible during this phase of the application since once letters are applied to your wall they cannot be repositioned.)
When the clear transfer tape has been completely removed from the vinyl, your quote is installed and ready to enjoy!
****If you want to get an idea of how the lettering will look before placing the lettering on the wall…. Just tape your words in place on the wall before you begin the application process to see how they will look once applied. *****
Use a blow dryer to heat vinyl first. Then beginning at a corner, peel off the vinyl with your fingers.
