The making of designAnn

My grandmother was an illustrator of children's books. As a child, I remember the smell and feel of her studio - high on the top floor of their huge brownstone in Philadelphia. I knew at an early age, I wanted to find a creative outlet for myself.
I have puttered in many areas of the arts. My first degree was in Music but I found I loved the texture and drape of cloth. My love of clothing and creating was so second nature I needed a friend to point out that I had been a fashion designer for years before I returned to school for that degree.
