About designosaurYEAH
Our name 'designosaur' came from trying to say "design a dinosaur"!
Jacques and I met at university where we studied Product Design. In the beginning Jacques started making children's mirrors at the laser cutting company where he was working. There was one shiny Brachiosaurus which took my fancy, and I held up and suggested that it would look great as a GIANT necklace. I was so excited about it that Jacques made it into the very first designosaur necklace!
I talk very quickly, when we first started to make dinosaur necklaces we were both really excited, and when I get excited I talk even more quickly! Jacques and I were discussing new designs and I tried to say "yeah design-a-dinosaur necklace", in my haste it came out as one word, Jacques looked at me wide eyed and we knew we had just come up with the name designosaur.
Since then Jacques and I have been working together to create a large range of dinosaur necklaces and other laser cut jewellery as well as accessories and most recently socks! We do everything together and make a great team. We have so many ideas - most of the time we talk about nothing but dinosaurs and plastic!
It makes us grin from ear to ear when you love dinosaurs and our designs - designing something big, bright and bold and is one of our main aims.

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging
All of our jewellery comes recycled kraft paper gift box embossed with our logo in bright yellow! Everything else is wrapped in tissue or glassine bags with branded stickers, ready to give as a gift to others... or yourself!
We are happy to include a note, please check "This order is a gift" and then "Add gift message for free" when purchasing and enter your gift message.
We never include an invoice as you receive a digital one via email.
If you would like your purchase gift wrapped then you can add this at checkout, just check "Add gift wrapping for £4.00"
Custom and personalised orders
We LOVE doing commissions, if you have something in mind then please send us an Etsy message with your idea, possible colours or materials, an idea of how large you would want it and if possible an image of what you have in mind (a photo of your inspiration would be great!)
All of our laser cut pieces can be customised, so if you would like a message engraved on the back, or a name on the front, let us know before you purchase and we can send you a quote.

Care instructions
So your jewellery is made of acrylic, BUT that doesn't mean it's invincible, want to keep it in the best condition possible? Follow our top tips...
Do put your jewellery away! The best place to store your jewellery is in it's box, this will stop the chain tarnishing and the design collecting dust.
Don't use perfume, moisturiser, sun cream, hairspray or any other chemical where you wear your jewellery.
Don't apply pressure to your jewellery, it will snap!
Don't get your jewellery wet! Ever.
If your jewellery is looking a bit grubby, we're talking fingerprints and a bit of dust then just use a soft cloth to wipe them away.
Sizing details
All of our laser cut pieces are made in house by ourselves, want a longer chain, we can do that! Need a smaller ring size, we can do that!
Just send us an Etsy message and we can make your dreams come true!
Covid-19
There are currently no restrictions in England but delays to shipping continue.
Please note that UK delivery is taking much longer than usual. Our standard free shipping can take up to 10 working days. If you wish to upgrade to '1st Class Signed For', this also cannot be tracked. If you upgrade to 'Special Delivery' this can be tracked - please not that Royal Mail are not guaranteeing next day delivery however.
International orders are also taking slightly longer to arrive and are sent untracked.
