About

New Look, New Items!

Aloha from Hawai'i USA!!!

I first started on the etsy format as far back as 2011 but never got going until 2012. I was one of the first group of Steampunk Jewelry Designers to share handmade pieces to the world and introduce this "somewhat new" genre to people to discover. But, actually, I've been a long-time fan of this genre even before the term "Steampunk" was coined. I've always loved Victorian Design and Science Fiction. The term was "Neo-Victorian" at best to describe the art form. And here we are today, and I'm glad to see more people just now discovering this genre I share in my pieces. It's not just about slapping gears on something and calling it Steampunk (like lots of so-called Steampunk makers here on etsy)! You'll find my more popular, original designs still available to "new eyes" who are now discovering my work. I also try to do my best to be ahead of the game by always creating something new, interesting and unique because there are just way too many "Steampunk Jewelry" that look the same and repetitive.

I come from both a theatrical background and special events design - specifically themed party and event decor. Many of the items I'm featuring (figurines and plaques) actually come from ideas I've used in designing elaborate tablescapes and centerpiece work and also used on stage and set props as well. I'm a champion floral designer and my theatrical background helped me create fantastic displays doing what comes naturally for me in design - dramatic and theatrical! So, I'm now including a lot of items I enjoy working with in my design projects and many have my own signature detailing in embellished pieces (artwork/painting/bling/etc..) for your own projects, home decor, and mostly great gift ideas!

I've introduced Fantasy, Mystical and Magical themes as well and branching out to offering more cool items for themed parties and events, home decor accents, and gift ideas. I'm a big time fan of Steampunk design first of all, but I'm drawn to magical creatures like Dragons, Owls, Wizards, Mermaids and Fairies. Not to mention Asian influences and Egyptian art. I'm also continuing to create tribute pieces celebrating Royal Hawaiian Monarchy (my heritage).

So, there is a lot more items to share for those looking for my Steampunk jewelry, ideas for parties and event decor ideas, holiday design, tablescapes and collectibles, gifting, and just something cool for yourself! This shop is always being updated with new pieces so please "like" my page so you can get updates!

ALOHA!!!

Shipping
Your order is shipped in a bubble lined envelope (smaller items) or a USPS Priority box where you will find your item gifted in a jewelry box along with a "thank you" gift.

SHIPPING:

All shipping to the U.S. will be done USPS First Class Mail. Larger items will be shipped USPS Priority or if your package weighs more than 8 ounces. It normally takes 3-6 days to arrive once it's been mailed out. International orders can take 7 - 10 days to arrive and will also be sent USPS First Class Parcel. All packages will have a tracking number assigned to it so you can check status on your own on the route of your package (US addresses only).

****International Shipping: Customers from outside the USA should be aware of their own country's customs fee or Valued Added Tax (VAT) threshold. Be aware that you are responsible for those fees when your package arrives. This is not included in your shipping charges. Right now, I know that the UK starts charging you VAT and handling fees for items valued over £15 (about $23). The charge is 20% of the value of the merchandise and an £8 handling fee. Please take this into consideration when making a purchase and that you know that once you pass your country's threshold you will be charge VAT and handling charges on your end. It is your responsibility to take care of those custom charges.

So far, packages sent to Australia and New Zealand have been arriving on average of about 7 days from Hawaii. Packages sent to France, the UK, and Netherlands have been arriving on average of about 9 days from Hawaii. Canada and East Coast US have been arriving on average of about 6 days from Hawaii.

Generally, US Postal says it takes at least 10 days for packages to arrive to International destinations. Some countries take a little longer which is all dependent on their Customs Inspectors.

Hawaii is part of the US. Let's not forget that. We are not a "foreign" destination so consider us as part of the "west coast" of the US. We are 2 hours (daylight savings time) behind in time to California/West Coast and 5 hours behind the East Coast. If it's 9am in New York it'll be 4am in Hawaii. You do the math when considering a quick response when sending me a convo. I usually start my "work" at 9:00 am Hawaii time or a bit sooner. I handle all convos first thing in the morning.

I have had difficulties with shipping to RUSSIA and countries in the MIDDLE EAST and recently FRANCE (higher security as of late). I will no longer offer shipping to those countries. ONLY special requests.
Additional policies and FAQs
I acquire brass pieces in my findings dealing with many, many vendors here on Etsy but mostly from one supplier in the US. I DO NOT MAKE brass molds or deal with melting or firing down metals. I don't work with precious metals or stones. I use only Swarovski Crystals. I use E6000, clear adhesive for permanent setting and 3D Crystal Lacquer for images set under glass. Images are all digital made from various Etsy Artists who sell digital collage sheets.
