Designs by Miyu is a collective of three artists: Miyu-san, Miyu-kun, and Miyu-chan. Please see our profile for more information about us! Many of our items are a collaborative effort, although some may feature the work of mostly one Miyu. Our environment is smoke-free and pet-free.

We call our philosophy "ii kimochi" or "good feelings." We wish to create good feelings in you and your loved ones. We believe that handmade gifts are the best way to show others you care about them, and to make a statement for yourself! Anything can be bought in a large store but it was not made with "ii kimochi." We would like you to experience the quality, freedom, flexibility, and uniqueness of gifts made with good feelings.

Our designs are (c) 2010-2011 Designs by Miyu and are our creative and intellectual property. Please respect our hard work. Our original designs cannot be redistributed, copied, duplicated, or otherwise imitated in any way without express written permission. Purchase does not in any way transfer any legal rights to the design of your new artwork.

Payment
At this time, Designs by Miyu accepts payment by Paypal only. However, Paypal allows you use your credit card without a Paypal account. We do not see your credit card, so your information is secured by Paypal. Please read more about how to use Paypal here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/helpweb?cmd=_help . If you are still having some trouble, please convo us and we will give you as much help as we can.

Payment is kindly requested at the time of the purchase. If we do not receive the payment within 24-48 hours, we must consider the transaction canceled. We will then re-list the item. However, if you have a special circumstance, please let us know immediately so we can work with you.

We reserve the right to cancel a transaction for any reason, including serial non-payment.
Shipping
Our shipping time:

-->If the item is already made and unless we say differently in the listing, we ship within 2 business days of receiving the payment.
-->If the item is made-to-order or custom order, we make the item the way you ordered it so it will take longer. Please look at the listing to see how long it will take to make your item just for you.
-->We will convo you on our progress if your order is made just for you.
-->When we are ready to ship, we will convo you so you know when to check your mail.

Your address:
-->We want to make sure your order gets to you!
-->Your PayPal mailing address should match your mailing address Etsy checkout. Please double check.
-->If the addresses don't match, we will convo you to make sure we're shipping to the correct address.

Damaged shipments:
-->Unfortunately we cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged by the carrier, but if there is any trouble, we will try to resolve it as best we can.
-->Please review the policies of your post service and let us know if you would like to add shipment insurance to your item.

U.S. shipping:
-->Usually, U.S. Postal Service.
-->Usually shipped by Priority Mail or First Class Mail.
-->Domestic shipping details are given in each listing.
-->We will convo you with the tracking number of your package.

International shipping:
-->Usually, U.S. Postal Service International Priority Mail
-->Please understand USPS International Priority Mail usually takes 2 weeks to arrive, but may be longer due to conditions in your country we cannot control. We will not consider a package lost until it has been 8 weeks from the ship date on our receipt.
-->Please know your country's policies, duties, and customs fees.
-->We cannot be responsible for customs or duty fees, or for difficult policies of your postal service.
-->We are sorry for the inconvenience but we can only give accurate information on customs forms.
-->We tape up packages well but they may be opened by either the U.S. or your country's post office for inspection. We cannot be responsible for this.
-->Tracking is not available for international shipments, however, we will notify you when your package has shipped.

Extra shipping services:
-->Upon request, we are happy to upgrade shipping or add extra services such as additional insurance (if available).
-->Upon request, we are happy to ship by other means (DHL, FedEx, UPS).
-->However, we cannot do this unless you please convo us about it prior to purchase so we can adjust the shipping costs in the listing.
Refunds and Exchanges
We are happy to answer as many questions and concerns as it takes before you buy for you to be comfortable with your purchase. When in doubt, please ask! Feedback is not the best place to address difficulties with your order; please give us the chance to resolve the situation before leaving feedback.

We try to represent our items as accurately as possible. But if you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us. Due to the hand-made nature of our items, refunds, returns, and exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis. You must please contact us within 14 days of delivery to initiate this process; we use Delivery Confirmation so that helps everyone keep track. Shipping charges and Etsy fees cannot be refunded and buyers pay any return shipping costs. Returns are handled via Paypal. We will work with you and the carrier in the case of a damaged shipment to resolve the matter.

Please understand that as much as we love you, for health reasons we cannot accept a return on items that have been worn on your person, especially but not limited to jewelry and hair accessories.

Hand-Made Gifts:

Our items are hand-made. Some may be one-of-a-kind, but we may make many of some items because they are in demand. This means that there may be slight variation--this is part of the beauty of the hand-made process and something that separates our items from something impersonal from a large store! We try to describe just how things may vary as accurately as possible in item listings. Again, when in doubt, please ask!

Customization and Made-to-Order:

Some of our items can be customized with different color, different beads, different fabric, or other means. Some can be made-to-order. Some items are listed as made-to-order and have instructions in the listing--please pay very close attention to all the ways you must tell us how to customize your treasure! This helps you get exactly what you wish for and avoids delays, confusion, and problems.

Because everything is handmade, there is flexibility! Please convo us about customization. We can then let you know if your customization is possible and if there is any additional charge for materials/labor.

Supplies:

Because our items are hand-made and we don't have unlimited stockpiles of materials, our ability to recreate a sold item depends on the materials at hand. If you are very interested in an item, we encourage you not to wait because we may not be able to make another once it is sold. We keep a close eye on our supplies; we do not list an item if we will not be able to make it, but in case we make a mistake, we will contact you very quickly.

Please note that some of our items may contain small parts such as beads. Items may not be waterproof. Candles are made of nontoxic materials but are still unsuitable for use by or around small children. Other items may be fragile. Unless an item is created for babies, it is best to keep items purchased from our shop away from children under 3 years old.

Our materials come from many places. Some are upcycled to reflect an eco-friendly philosophy and to emphasize the beauty of the world around us. Some are new materials but we try to source materials as best we can given that we are a small shop. No matter what, the materials we have used reflect our desire to bring you and your loved ones happiness.
