Healing Raw Stone Jewelry with an Smooth Style and Positive Vibes <3

There’s power all around us, if only we take the time to stop and see it. Designs by Nature Gems is my answer to finding that power, passion, and perfection in the world around us through natural, raw crystal jewelry with a hint of healing. My name is Laura Sultan and it is my pleasure to introduce you to my bohemian boutique, Designs By Nature Gems. Originally conceptualized in 2014, I was seeking balance in my life and found it in the form of raw crystals, jewelry wire, and unbridled passion for elevating natural components into supernatural accessories. As a former New Zealand mathematics teacher for at-risk youth, I always had a knack for finding the patterns between the numbers and between people. After taking a course on jewelry design I quickly realized I could transfer my teaching skills into this shining, beautiful world of adornments. What started out as a part-time passion on the weekends, turned into the bustling boutique you see before you with a variety of hand wrapped pendants, necklaces, rings, and bracelets.

As is often the case with life, there are many surprises in store. In 2012, I was given a cosmic push to relocated to Canada. Moving to Toronto only emphasized the personal importance to remain connected to nature and to continue to help others connect to that natural world. As a light worker, I’ve been blessed to offer my handmade jewelry to citizens of the world in a way compliments their personal styles while also accentuating the most striking components of my raw materials. It is an honor and a pleasure to be able to practice sustainable and ethical business practices as an artist and a business owner. In fact, two of the twin values of this company are minimizing our footprint by limiting our waste production and revitalizing the local economy through hiring local Torontonians, working directly with local crystal shops, and sourcing my raw materials only from sustainable sources. Now, years later, my passion and journey has enabled me to be a fulltime artist who runs her business through creating unique pieces of nature-inspired, highly detailed wearable art just for you.

CUSTOMS & DUTY
You are responsible for duty and customs charges that your country charges on your purchase. If you are from the UK, EU, and other countries other than Canada and the USA, this may apply to you. Please contact your country's government website for more information.

CHOOSING YOUR STONE FOR A PENDANT
We will send an image of your stone selection within 1 business day via Etsy conversations. Please respond within 24 hours for us to make and ship your piece before 3 business days. If you do not, we will hold the pendant for 2 days before shipping to make sure you have the chance to choose your stone. This will edit the processing time to 3-5 business days. If we do not hear back by noon EST on the 5th business day, we will choose a stone to set and ship your pendant that day. This is in case your order is a gift and you need it by a certain date.

WARRANTY
All items illustrated are 100% handmade and are displayed with accurate information.
There is no warranty placed on items. With that said, Designs by Nature Gems is willing to fix a piece damaged within the first year for a small fee. Shipping is not covered in this offer.

CUSTOM ORDERS
All custom items varying amount of time depending on the detail required and our order volume.
The purchaser may request pictures of the custom order while it is being made. These images may be requested once every three days. Any changes that the purchaser may desire must be stated prior postage of the custom order. The custom order, its handling, & its shipping must be paid prior to shipping of the custom order.

If the purchaser does not pay or a date for full payment for the custom order within five business days of the custom order’s completion, then the purchaser forfeits their ownership of the custom order. The custom order may be posted on the website for general sale up to Designs by Nature Gem's discretion.

GENERAL AGREEMENT
Upon purchase of an item from this website, you agree to disclose & provide truthful & accurate information concerning the purchaser, the shipment address, the billing address, the payment details, & any other information requested by Designs by Nature Gems. If you are found to have provided any of the aforementioned information as false, your purchase will be terminated without refund for the purchase.

All personal & business information provided to Designs by Nature Gems will remain confidential & will not be shared with any other persons and/or companies. You can read more about our Privacy Policy below.

Returns and exchange details
If you wish for an item to be changed once you received the item, I will make minor alterations for a fee. This fee would cover the cost of materials and the time needed to complete the request.

All return delivery is paid for by the client and not by Designs by Nature Gems.

I do not accept the return of any custom orders.
Please feel free to ask for pictures during the customization process and before shipping to make sure these orders are what you imagine.

I hold no responsibility for items lost or damaged in the mail. If you wish to pursue this type of issue with the postal service, I will happily provide any information needed.
Payment
All orders must be paid in full before shipment.

If a cancellation of payment is needed, please message within 1 business day of purchasing. I will send a confirmation message that the payment has been refunded within 1-2 business days. I will not cancel orders past 1 business day of notification.
Shipping
Shipping carriers differ depending on the country you are located in. Shipping carriers include:

- Canada: Canada Post
- USA: United States Postal Service First Class Mail
- International: Asendia International. This company uses the United States Postal Service and then gives the package to the buyer's country's national postal service.

Shipping times and carriers are as follows. Please note during COVID, these times are varying greatly due to social distancing required by delivery workers and an increase in amount of packages being shipped.

- Canada: Within 1-2 weeks once shipped
- USA: Within 4 business days once shipped
- International: Typically within 2-3 weeks. However, this varies depending on each respective countries postal system. Some orders take up to six weeks to arrive.

Please note international orders tracking number may change upon arrival in their country. Feel free to contact me if you may need the updated tracking number.

Postage upgrades are offered upon checkout. These upgrades include international tracking, express shipping, and expedited making. 

Once an item is shipped, the buyer takes all responsibility for the item. If an item does not arrive within the expected time period, the buyer can contact Designs by Nature Gems for a partial refund or to purchase the same item at cost. This refund is the original item's retail price minus shipping and

There is $100 insurance on items shipped. Please message me if you would like more insurance on your item(s).

Q: Are there customs and duty charges on an item I purchased?
A: If you live outside of the USA and Canada, your country may charge customs and duty. Please check out your country's website on this matter for more information.

Q: Do you cleanse and/or energize crystals before sending them?
A: I am an energy worker, and as I create your pendant, I put my own healing vibes into them. If a member of my team creates your piece, I check its vibe to make sure that the care of the team goes into it to create positive vibes.

Q: Do you have shop hours?
A: Yes, we are open from Monday to Friday from 10:30 AM to 5 PM EST. We respond to messages during this time period. If there is a national holiday, we may be delayed in responding until the next business day.

Q: Can items be gift wrapped and sent to a giftee's address?
A: Yep. Just let me know, and it shall be done.

Q: Do you do bulk requests, custom requests, or consignment agreements?
A: Yes, I do. Please message me!

Care instructions

All pieces are made using high quality, nickle free, lead free, and hypoallergenic materials.

With that said, please avoid salt water and swimming pools.

For Wire Wrapped Pieces:
Metal does change color on acidic skin. (A person has a acidic skin when their skin eats through enamels and top metal layers.) If you notice a color change occurring, put a coat of clear nail polish on the wrapping to maintain the metal coating. If you would like the stone be rewrapped in 0.925 sterling silver or 14k gold, contact me and I will do so at cost.

Custom and personalised orders

I adore doing customs and personalized orders!

I do require a 50% deposit on any personalized or custom order unless we have agreed on another payment schedule.

If you are sending me a stone to wrap, no deposit it required.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gift Wrapping:
All pieces are sent out in Designs by Nature packaging. This includes a tissue paper package with a single business card. If you would like an organza gift bag instead, please leave a note during checkout.

Wedding Rings:
Packaging for rings is a tan canvas gift box.

Shipping packaging:
Item are bubble wrapped and put into a mania envelope.

I want to return or exchange my item

Items can be returned or exchanged within two weeks of expected delivered date. (Expected delivered date is 2 weeks for North America; 4 weeks for Everywhere Else)

Prior returning, you must send a picture of the item in perfect condition. Once the item has arrived, I will email you and complete the refund in 24 hours.

Personalized and Custom Orders:
There are no returns on custom orders. I am happy to do an exchange and work on an alternate design.

Customs and Duty Fees for UK, EU and other International Orders

The buyer is solely responsibile for customs and duty their home country may charge for their purchase.

If you do not know if your country charges customs and duty, I recommend a quick Google search of your country's name and "custom charges on incoming packages."

I Didn't Receive My Item

Please allow up to two weeks for North American shipping and up to 6 weeks for international shipping to arrive.

Once item is shipped, the buyer takes all responsibility for the item. If an item does not arrive within the expected time period, the buyer can contact Designs by Nature Gems for a partial refund or to purchase the same item at cost. This refund is the original item's retail price minus shipping and handling.

All items are shipped without tracking unless the tracking option is chosen during checkout. (Tracking is about $15 and above in Canada.)
Postage upgrades are offered upon checkout. These upgrades include tracking, expedited, and xpress shipping.

Is there tracking on orders?

Yes, tracking is included on all orders. :)

How do I cleanse the crystals?

You can easily cleanse your crystal jewelry using sage smoke or leaving it in the moonlight on a full moon overnight.

Do not use water and salt to cleanse your jewelry- it corrodes the metal and will hurt the pendant and sometimes the crystal.
