Where math & molecules inspire beautiful creations.
If you're located in or near the Indianapolis area, check my posts on Facebook & feel free to consult with me via messenger: http://Facebook.com/DesignsByOnye
Blue is my favorite color. I make many blue things, as well as black, green, purple, white, silver, grey. I'm not a fan of pink but if you want something made in pink, it's absolutely no problem :)
Many items are made to order. Please examine the shipping timeline and possible variations listed for custom items. Convo if you need something different than what is offered.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I am honored to serve patrons outside of the US. Please understand that shipping is much more expensive and I may create a separate request via PayPal to recover the fees.
UPDATE: I am no longer offering a lifetime warranty on my work. If you break it within 3 months of purchase, I *might* be able to fix it. But anything purchased outside of that timeline, well... I'll see what I can do but no promises.
There is no warranty offered for internationally-shipped items (sorry).
Also: since Swarovski has now decided to stop producing for the DIY market, expect to pay a premium for their crystals, or be willing to accept a substitute (such as Preciosa crystals).
THANKS for taking a look, and shopping! ~Onye

Where Math & Molecules Make Marvelous Creations.
I started with a few loose beads & sewing thread
Making chains of daisies was the first thing stuck in my head
Got wise to the glittering stars in my eyes
Not sure where it would lead
But I knew that a plan I must devise
Took the time to write some things down
Colors, patterns, tools & schemes
Started to learn the terminology in between
Flipping the pages of shiny bead magazines
Got a hold of an early edition of Bead&Button
Night after night I would read until it was late
Frantically I would design, and dream, and create
To be an artist was my inevitable fate
Or really, the plan from the beginning
Similar to Silverstein, I don't know where this sidewalk ends
But I promise that every place in which the road bends
I will have a ring of flowers, or spheres made of of metal
Icosahedron-shaped orbs and dodecahedron-cut crystals
Woven mathematical mantras clothed as beaded beads
Pen-inked mandalas & beaded-basketry
Tessellations to give an empty space some consecration
When the mind's eye finds its concentration
The hand & heart can see
The display is a path of memorial stones
So you can find your way to me. :)

I am a geometric bead artist. My primary method of creating art is weaving beads. Whether it is to be adornment for the body (wearable) or adornment for personal space (sculptural), my art is always driven by and created from a place of geometric spatial exploration and interaction. I also create tessellation art using isometric grids and archival ink.
The best thing about being an artist, in my opinion, is that I can reflect aspects of natural beauty and ordered (non-chaotic) complexity in my work. Many of my pieces (such as the Dodecahedra and Particle collections) are clear representations of Platonic & Archimedean geometry. To date, discoveries are still being made of platonic geometry in nature & human biology, and are applicable within nanotechnology. My heart’s desire is to integrate my analytical nature with my creative drive in order to manifest high-quality, structurally sound art pieces that are sculpturally-functional, thought-provoking, inspirational and engaging. I believe that creating art is my life’s purpose. I want to use my creative abilities to inspire others that wish to do the same. To “bless” someone is to empower them to be prosperous, joyful and peaceful. I am passionate about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics). There has been a push in the realm of education to encourage children to embrace technology in relationship to their learning and pursuing these fields. I strongly believe that art connects and clarifies the understanding of mathematics, science and technology, highlights their beauty & their necessity, and helps to reveal and de-mystify their role in our lives. Art is both a vehicle and catalyst for personal improvement, critical thinking, social justice and activism.
