About

Pretty, Practical Pieces

I design and handcraft Pretty, Practical Pieces for all members of the family! All my designs are carefully tested for at least 3 months before they are introduced to my shop. I also seek to create minimal waste so you will often see a fabric represented in several ways in my shop. Smaller cuts are turned into accessories and larger cuts are made with the most efficient use of material possible. All scraps that I cannot use are given to my sister who turns them into adorable rag rugs!

I hope that you enjoy a browse through my shop and see the passion and care that goes into every piece. I have been sewing for 24 years and my priorities are making an excellent product and providing exceptional customer service. I stand behind each item that I make and want you to be able to as well.

I share 10% of all profits with Children's Security Blanket - a non-profit dedicated to helping cancer families in our area.
Drop me a message-I'd love to chat!

The name Pebble Hut came from a play on words on my last name "Poppleton", from Old English popel ‘pebble’ and tūn ‘enclosure’, ‘settlement’. But since I don't live in a settlement, I like to refer to my lovely little house and now workshop as 'Pebblehut".

Frequently asked questions

More than one available?

I often have more than one of a particular item available. I keep the quantities listed at 1 to make sure I stay on top of fabric inventory, but please don't hesitate to message me if you'd like more than one!
