Not your mama's vintage!
Since childhood, I’ve been attracted to the old, the historic, the time worn – any item with patina and a story to tell. My first find was a 1920’s metal cigar box that still sits in my bookshelf some 25 years after I found it in a mound of dirt. During high school you could always find me sifting through shelves at the Salvation Army, or wandering through the historic sites in my old town. My love of all things vintage led me to major in history in college, before going on to work in rare books for a spell. Over time, what started as just a simple sentiment – “I like old things” – grew into something bigger. I now collect and sell vintage items, as well as write about finding, styling, and living with vintage pieces. My belief is that vintage doesn’t necessarily mean precious, that antique doesn’t necessarily mean fussy.
Besides vintage interiors and pieces, I also like boots (cowboy, riding, motorcycle), gin (in the summer – with a little rosemary and syrup), bourbon (in the winter – with a little ginger beer and bitters), entertaining (year round – with people I like), traveling (anywhere), gardening (indoor and out), and just hanging out with my family. If you'd like to see more, you can follow me on Pinterest or on my blog, where you'll see my take on mixing new and vintage, urban and country, high and low.

My style is vintage, mixed with city, mixed with country. I like worn, well-made pieces that get better with time, that look as good on a rough, wooden table as on a Georgian sideboard, that I love using, and that make me smile.
