In light of recent events at the southern border I'm going to put a charitable twist on a standard moving sale. Now until June 30th, my whole shop will be 25% off and I am also going to match that discount with a donation to KIND (Kids In need Of Defense)
A very varied group of mugs just made their way into my shop. There's something for everybody over here! Florals, confetti, rainbow paint splatter, alpacas, pineapples, porcelain, chocolate clay....phew! Lots of fun going on in my studio right now.
I've added a bunch of new #mugs for #thirstythursday! Blues and Oranges were on my mind with this last kiln, as I begin to refill my mug stock. It's been a slow journey back to the studio, and while I'm not totally back to 100%, I'm getting close!

Functional Pottery Sweet Enough To Eat...From!

I strive to make objects that not only inspire joy in the user, but can stand alone as functional art pieces as well. I believe that handcrafted functional ware enhances our living spaces, most specifically tableware. A hand made plate can transform an ordinary meal into a dining experience. For me, it is extremely satisfying to see that objects I have made are being used by others. I spent my undergraduate thesis researching the specificity of utilitarian forms, so I have a deep appreciation for the individual nuances that make functional-ware function. (I could go on describing the differences between a coffee pot and a teapot!) My current work is heavily influenced by the delightfully sweet sights and smells of my childhood spent in the family bakery.

Custom Order FAQ
Q: Is there a fee for custom work?
A: Possibly, I do not typically charge additional for custom work. However I reserve the right to add an additional fee, should the specific request require it. I will always let you know ahead of time, before the custom listing is assembled.

Q: How long until I get my new piece?
A: My standard studio turn around, from wet clay to finished pieces, varies from 2-6 weeks depending on the item. My studio turn around is based on proper drying times and kiln schedule. Time frames will be established before the listing is assembled.

Q: How/when do I pay?
A: I ask that all custom orders are to be paid in full before I begin working on your new piece.
