About

Reincarnated apparel that embodies free spirits

Dewdropz Garden was destined to create unique, one of a kind attire that you can feel fabulous in while also rockin' a eco~chic lifestyle.

The heartbeat of Dewdropz Garden resides in fashionably funky designs while practicing sustainability, supporting many local charities and being able to pass those savings onto the beholders.

Dewdropz Garden manifested while I was living on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2008. Starting with my initials, Dew, I combined them with my appreciation of morning dewdrops resting on my organic garden produce and thus, Dewdropz Garden was born.

My creative adventures began when I was just a small child. Always wanting to wear the funky, Punky Brewster styles that my Grandmother would make me. She inspired me to create many on my own, which her teachings have lasted me through my years.

With a love of working with previously adored fabrics, vintage and unique finds, my treasure hunting developed into a complete passion for upcycling. As I grew older, my awareness shifted and I realized how much usable, unique and beautiful materials get tossed out and combined with the insights of the unfair working conditions in many countries we purchase new materials from. I soon realized that we cannot continue towards peace and goodwill with that particular consuming pattern and lifestyle, I then decided to upcycle as much as I could. From clothing to household items, the list is long on what I have re-purposed for myself and others.

My creative space has been in several states as I moved and traveled about. Beginning in Maine under the name Karma Kreations in 1996. After many moons of gypsy touring with The Grateful Dead, Phish and other amazing jam bands and festivals, it was in 1999 that I finally settled in Portland, Oregon for 6 years where I continued my love of upcycling and also developed a love for creating apothecary organic skin care products . Eventually the rain got to me and I made the leap to Hawaii for 8 years. Living in the city of Honolulu for 4 years then in the full on jungle of the Big Island. And that is where I was really able to channel my highest creative flow and submerge into the abyss of clothing alchemy. I am now living in beautiful Colorado where I create, design seasonal upcycled gear and experiment with organic skin soothers that will be available in my etsy shop early 2013.

“The next time it begins to rain … lie down on your belly, nestle your chin into the grass, and get a frog’s-eye view of how raindrops fall … The sight of hundreds of blades of grass bowing down and popping back up like piano keys strikes me as one of the merriest sights in the world.”
