Inspired by Ocean Water and Salt Air.
We aspire to create colors and color palettes that are fashionable, beautiful, and that are uncommonly seen in tie dye. I am Abby and I am the owner of Dewey Beach Tie Dye Co. along with my husband Joe. Ever since I was a small child I have been fascinated with color. I used to take my markers apart and squeeze the color into Dixie cups, and then tie up paper towels with rubber bands and tie dye them. I had no idea what I was doing but I was obsessed with doing it, that is until my mom discovered I had destroyed all of my markers. If only we had known I’d go on to own a tie dye business one day. We are located in coastal Delaware and we love the beach. The name Dewey Beach Tie Dye Co. is inspired by the town of Dewey Beach Delaware, as well as by the Grateful Dead song titled “Morning Dew”. We only use the best materials and we are very meticulous in our creative process. You can be sure that when you buy something from us that it is made with love, and will truly be one of a kind.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions
Wash tie dyes in cold water to preserve the vibrancy of the color. If you prefer hot water that is fine too and there may not be any fading at all but cold water is a safer bet. For the first few washes, only wash tie dye with like colors. Dry on low to prevent too much shrinking of the cotton.
