Care instructions
ALL metals do tarnish, especially Copper and brass. Copper will probably tarnish faster, you can clean them with 0000 steel wool and a pro polishing pad if you want them shiny. I know some people do like the tarnish look.
I do put a tarnish protector and a sealant on the brass and copper tags. However, if your pup likes the water, it may come off faster. (My dog does this) Also, because there is sealant on it you would need steel wool to rub off the sealant if you are cleaning it for the first time.
When nickel silver tarnishes, it has a yellow tint to it. A pro polish pad will fix this.
If the black paint comes off over time. You can use a black sharpie to fill it in. Then use rubbing alcohol to wipe off the top.
Sizing details
1” is probably better for small/ medium sized dogs and cats
1 1/4” for medium/large dogs
1 1/2” for large dogs

Do these metals tarnish ?
YES they do!
Copper tarnishes turning into a dark orange/brown and sometimes with green areas.
Brass turns into a deeper, darker gold/yellowish color.
Brass and copper both have sealant put into them to prevent tarnishing. So to clean, you need 0000 steel wool to get the sealant off first, then you can use a pro polish pad.
Nickel silver turns yellowish ! This can also be cleaned the same way as stated above. Sometimes using just a pro polish pad will work !
I will not give refunds or remake any tags because they tarnished. It is noted in several areas of my shop that these metals do tarnish. It is natural.
