Many years ago, I was convinced I wanted to be an actress. I moved across the country to California to get my big break. With no job and no place to live, I had all by belongings in a big box truck. I arrived and soon realized that's why everyone other single person was there. They were all looking for their big break. Soon after though, I got a job at an independent book/ stationery store. It was there that I received encouragement to start designing.

After a move back to Ohio, I started dfmi designs and have been in business over 10 years. I began with just custom invitations. It was a wonderful process working with brides and being a part of their wedding planning. Since then, I've expanded to cards & stationery, children's party invites, frame-able prints for home and office and most fun of all, the banners! They are just so festive and fun. In our house, I make sure we have one all the time. Either to welcome in a season, holiday or celebrate an accomplishment in our family.
