5 out of 5 starsBeautiful painting! I am still trying to decide where best to hang it so that everyone who comes to my home can enjoy as much as I do!
It arrived VERY fast and was packaged superbly, with a personal touch!
I will be ordering more paintings in the future!

My studio, looking unusually neat and organized, in readiness for the Shoreline Arts Trail Open Studios last year
A painter of landscapes, captivated with the marshes of coastal New England
I've been painting since I was a child. I graduated from Syracuse University School of Visual Arts and have continued to study through the years in workshops and classes. Never stop learning! I love to follow other artists on Instagram and am continually inspired by their creativity and mastery of skills. I believe that the pursuit of mastering skills is essential to developing a command of your art. I work at it every day. Often people ask me how long it takes to make a painting, and I answer at least 40 years, because each painting I do, no matter how simple or complex, is a culmination of years of work. I could not get to where I am now without the years of exploration, practice, failures, successes and hard work.
I now paint primarily landscapes in an impressionistic style and sometimes abstraction.
As a landscape artist, my intent is to share my internal experience of the beauty that nature gives us. The shoreline is my muse; the intersection of land, sea and sky continually inspire me. The ephemeral quality of light on the salt marshes, the glow of sunset on sand, the calmness or ferocity of the water, and especially the seasonal changes in colors and textures are images that I want to give life to on paper.
For me, painting landscapes is a peaceful experience. I believe the quiesence of landscape allows us to temporarily retreat and disconnect from the stress of everyday life. My hope is the viewer experiences a sense of serenity and harmony of colors and atmosphere in these landscapes
