*** Northern Irish buyers ***
I'm very sorry that Etsy doesn't allow me to set a rate for N.I. Etsy applies the International rate if you have a UK address but An Post charges me the same whether I post to North or South of the border. I apologize for the inconvenience and I will refund you the difference.

Packages are shipped by standard mail within 3 business days of receiving your payment. If it's urgent, let me know and I'll do my utmost to get it in the post asap! Please contact me via Etsy for prices if you'd like to upgrade to a faster, insured or trackable service.

Typical delivery times:
Ireland: 1 - 3 business days
International: 4 – 10 business days

If your parcel hasn't arrived within 14 days (Ireland) or 6 weeks (International), please get in touch with me. Also, please check with your post office and neighbours as sometimes lost packages turn up there.

Buyers are responsible for customs, taxes, duties or other charges that apply in your country. Before ordering, please ensure that the products you order are permitted in your country – if they are rejected by customs I will consider a partial refund on a case by case basis (depending on the costs incurred and the condition of the product if it is returned to me).

Additional policies and FAQs

*** A Note on Hand-Dyed Yarn ***
I hand dye yarn in small batches in a labour intensive process that involves multiple layers of dye to achieve colour variation and depth. The nature of these methods means that each skein is unique. There can be differences betweens skeins, even within the same batch. If you are using more than one skein in your project and would like to minimise the differences, it's a good idea to alternate skeins (if you're not sure how, drop me a line or do a search for a video). This technique can also break up pooling / stacking effects in yarn that has regular colour repeats (e.g. dip dyed or certain types of hand-painted yarn). My kettle dyed yarn is not likely to pool or stack as the colour repeats are random.

*** Care Instructions ***
Wash separately in cool water (30°C/86°F) with a gentle wool wash. Although superwash wool can be machine washed, handwashing will prolong the life of your beautiful handiwork. Non-superwash wool must be hand washed unless you want it to felt. Lay flat to dry.

After dyeing, I rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. However, minimal bleeding may occur for the first few washes so it is best to wash separately.

If you wash at a higher temperature than recommended or use an alkaline/harsh detergent, colours may run. I use a variety of professional acid dyes and each individual colour behaves slightly differently. Some wash well at higher temperatures but I advise washing in cool water (30°C/86°F) as this is the recommended temperature for some of the dyes I use. It's also kinder to wool (and to the environment and your energy bills!). Also, I have heard anecdotally that fragranced wool washes are more likely to give rise to colour run off than unscented ones.

*** Photos ***
I work hard to accurately show the the true colours of the yarn but monitors vary and may show the colours differently to how they appear in person.

*** Liability ***
The buyer is responsible for using my products safely and harmlessly.

If there's anything else you'd like to know just drop me a line on Etsy, I'd love to hear from you!
